US [A] <Theorycraft> is now recruiting!

Crooklyn

Grandfathered

Theorycraft is now recruiting active level 70's to expand our roster!

You can visit our website at
http://www.theorycraft.us/ for additional information.

So, what exactly is Theorycraft, and what is our primary goal?
With no major presence on the US realms for 70 twinks, Theorycraft was created to bring together a community of players that share similar interests in World of Warcraft.

We are the first multi-division 70 guild on the US realms that offer our members various options to play their characters how they want to. Our primary goal is to create a community large enough so that our members will always have someone to play with - at any time. We aim to be the #1 70 twink guild on US realms.

What can Theorycraft offer you?
Aside from free repairs, Theorycraft will provide you with three divisions to join, should you apply.
The three divisions each have different purposes to fit your ideal play-style on your character(s).

So, what are these divisions?

The three divisions are Challenge (PvE), Progression (PvE), and Unlimited (PvP).

CHALLENGE (PvE)

Each of these division have a unique difference that allow our members to have their preferred choice of play-style.
The Challenge division was primarily put in place for existing twinks.

Simply put, we don't want you to abandon your character you've been working on for months or years.
The Challenge division lets you play your character with virtually no gear or gem/enchant restrictions. Your ultimate character will be paired with other like-minded players to enjoy challenging content.

Our idea is to host 5-man raid parties to go up against Tempest Keep, Serpentshrine Cavern, Mount Hyjal, Black Temple, and Sunwell Plateau. While some of these raids may seem easy, it would still be interesting to see a 5-man group of 70's running through encounters made for 25 players.

The ultimate goal isn't to complete Sunwell or TK with a 5-man.
We're hoping that we can build a raid team to tackle Icecrown Citadel, the endgame level 80 raid.

You can read more about the Challenge division at http://www.theorycraft.us/challenge

PROGRESSION (PvE)

Secondly, we have our Progression division. This division has similar rules and guidelines seen in other progression-style guilds. However, we wanted to take this concept to the next level.

We have implemented an additional feature to our progression system to keep things interesting and fun for everyone within this division.
We've brought in Seasons.

Similar to Diablo III, seasons will require members to re-roll a new character to partake in the upcoming season. We hope that this will encourage players to play new classes and try out new roles they have might not have ever played before at the 70 bracket.

We're developing an interface for Seasons on our website. This interface would allow guild members to see leaderboards of members in the progression division clearing and progressing through content. In addition, this interface will also give our members the quality-of-life feature to find other members in our guild that have similar raid time availability. Think of it as a third-party raid organizer that shows other member availability where you can pick and choose who to have in your group. We're working diligently to implement this interface to our website.

As you can imagine, there are a lot of details about this division that I don't want to place here on this forum post.

You can find a full explanation of the Progression division on our website at http://www.theorycraft.us/progression

UNLIMITED (PvP)
Lastly, we have our Unlimited division. This division is purely for players who want to stick with PvP. No restrictions whatsoever. If you're interested in killing people in the arena or battlegrounds, this is the division for you.

How to Join
You can apply at http://www.theorycraft.us/apply

Have any questions? Feel free to post below. I'll try my best to answer any questions as fast as possible.

If you're interested in helping out and would like to apply for an officer position, then you can do so on the application. I'm looking for raid leaders, recruiters, and overseers to promote fairness in each division. If this sounds like something you're interested in, please don't hesitate to apply for an officer position.

Thank you for taking the time to read this long post.
I'm looking forward to meeting all of you and building this community together.

icc 10 man was only doable pre item squish..
but gl trying to do it.
dont think you will get far

This sounds awesome. I really do hope that this succeeds. Kudos. Shame I'm on EU.

I was under the impression you can no longer do ICC content at lvl 70. Perhaps I'm mistaken.

Thank you for the good wishes.

&& Yes, you can still do ICC. It's a bit tough but still doable. Not sure about clearing through LK but hopefully with the new expansion coming up it might make things better.

Still sort of doable, but feels impossible. I'm hoping with the new expansion we might be able to clear it.

Looks legit, definitely interested. Sent in an app.

You guys think you'd take someone who was more of a casual player? Like maybe as a backup? I have a hard time committing to a schedule with what goes on around here and my job. Thanks , off to read the website

Absolutely. This isn't some hardcore raiding guild or anything. I'm trying to establish a community.

I'm hoping that once we have enough people online, we'll be able to set up raids or groups best fit to anyone's time.

With that said, you can absolutely join no matter what your schedule looks like.

Sounds good. I'll check it out tonight when I'm off of work. Thank you!

Awesome, if you do add me on real ID I'm going to be off WoW for a few days. Moving into new apartment Friday, probably will have internet up by Saturday.
