EU+US How ilvl affects your gear in Legion FYI

Just read a juicy paragraph pertaining to how ilvl affects our gear in Legion...

Check this out:

We ultimately arrived at a solution where we set player stats automatically in PvP and increase those stats based on your average item level. Players would understand that their stats didn’t come from gear, but that the quality of their gear does matter. Currently, we’ve tuned the system such that for every point above item level 800, your stats are increased by 0.1%. This means that someone with item level 900 gear is only 10% stronger than someone with item level 800 gear. For comparison, that’s roughly the same increase that a mere 10 item level increase gives in Warlords of Draenor. This allows us to make getting gear feel good in general, while shrinking the power gap to an acceptable range.

Does this mean we get to keep wearing our precious quest/dungeon gear and not those pesky high ilvl whites?

And no pvp talents. It will take absolutely no effort or time/gold investment whatsoever beyond leveling into X bracket, with no reward but queue pops, and no way to personalize/tailor your stats to your play style(I.e. FC gear, haste/stam CC builds, glass cannon rogue, spirit enchants) no weapon procs to watch for, no AGM shields/battlemaster trinks...

I dunno about you guys but that doesn't seem fun at all considering the average skill level in games is going to plummet with xp on merging along with all the other changes.

On the bright side it's just possible other brackets with more evened-out toolsets(where racials aren't a huge advantage for example-- or wait are they disabling those too?) will be discovered. I love how balanced 39s this xpac had been/are for example.

Who knows, but 19s sounds a lot less fun in a few months.

pretty sure this is very old news???? although guessing based on the sentence you highlighted maybe you think that the ilvl threshold of 800 will be the same for all levels, which obviously isn't the case

what's with the big random picture in the bottom of your post? just curious

o.o

100% sure they just using the ilvl 800 for a example it will most likely be different for all brackets

Ok here is a theory: They are merging xpon with xpoff players now, why? Well they are bringing all low lvl players on par with eachother in instanced pvp.
Just a theory, since we dont know anything yet.

There's two ways this can be interpreted, either their scaling mechanics only kick in at ilvl 800 plus, which would be a viable option as they wouldnt need to manually tune stat templates at each bracket. The idea behind the stat templates is that they can individually tune specs to balance easier, however balancing at 110 may unbalance at 69 if they use the same template guidlines.

Or this is just their example of the ilvl comparisons at 110, and they just havent given numbers for other levels.

Either way nothing is tested, stop assuming like you all have been doing for the past few months, as someone who has tested anything I can on the alpha, I cannot stress this enough

Also at the same time, they could also mean that the stats on the gear are x% higher at certain ilvls, yes they have said templates, but it's highly unlikely stats won't matter at all on gear.

The final attack on the Towers definitely can from the "outside". Jumbo jets don't fly "inside" office towers very well.
Whereas the earlier attack came from the “inside”.
BTW, this really is not a subject to be besmirching...

Tough to say right now exactly what will happen in the lower brackets. But speculation before xpacs has always been fun, that's for sure!

Have a great day everyone!!
actually the world trade center was a secret headquarters and manufacturing location for aviation supplies and aircraft parts, the planes and what was on board were from the inside

I seriously doubt they would neglect every lower bracket in their quest to balance PvP stats. But who knows...

They will balance the stat templates around level 110 and it will trickle down, just like its always been.

This isn't "new" news and doesn't effect the 10-19 Bracket so why was it even posted here? We've already had this discussion many times in multiple threads across multiple Brackets. We already know how lower Level iLvL > BG Scaling is going to work in Legion. The only thing we don't know is if WHITES will actively scale in BG's come Legion, that's it.

I speculate that white item levels will be the same as they are when trying to use them in a transmogrification, to poor a quality and there for (in 19 bracket) will scale to 24, or what ever the base ilevel will be.

Just a guess, but makes sense tbh.

Bush ordered that the planes to be crashed into the building as a cover-up to keep the people from finding out about a huge dank meme leakage.

Anyway, I wish they'd just go 100% with getting pve gear out of pvp. They are just inviting all kinds of shenanigans letting it in at all, or at least just make a max ilvl that you can benefit from.
