US returning after 4 year break ( 2006-2012 Tink ) questions

Hi there, wow, so happy to see twinks, tinks now? still around,

i quit the 19/29 bracket and wen't to 100 and quit wow for many years, came back, haven't been able to get queues, on my twinks from daggerspine. . .

good times, also, i noticed the ring deadmans hand is removed, does it still proc shatter for frost mages? my mage twink hopes so -

also where can i find active q's?
 
Dont know if your EU or Us but in both regions 10-19 and 20-29 get regular pops mainly at peak times, if your wanting to que faster never que random battleground only que specific (WSG for 10-19, WSG/AB for 20-29). Deadmans Hand does still proc luck you.

Could you post some of your twink armories as i imagine they have alot of gfed items :D

hi there, old school veteran through and through, during 2006, we'd wait hours for queues in 19/29 brackets, often we'd get one game a night. . .

veteran twinks know the struggle of waiting.

REALLY REALLY old vet twinks know the struggle of levelling in bgs, and having to remake your twink every other week.

I miss those days, when we had those absolutely insane leg enchants, and fiery, unholy, crusader etc were the good enchants.

Actually we didn't gain XP in Battlegrounds. The biggest fear was really going somewhere you had not explored and leveling up.

I could have SWORN we did....wasn't that why they added xp off in the first place? to finally, officially separate twinks from people just using bgs as an alternative way to level?

Have I been totally wrong all this time? damn.


Still, proccing unholy and crusader on a 19 rog with daggers, wearing those leg enchants. UNF
 
We started gaining XP in 3.2 I believe, around 2009 or so. It effectively separated us into an XPon and XPoff society.
7.0 will change that. Sort of...

Unless it was the NPCs in AV (which always gave exp) the only way to get exp from PVP back in the day was turning in Tokens for the extra honor, which would yield exp.

The reason they added exp to BGs was so that there WAS an alternative to leveling outside of PvE. They also added EXP Off toggle for those that didnt wish to gain exp, which in turn only screwed us over, and thus Exp On twinks became a thing.

I'm so stupid. I spoke to my friend I used to play with, and he reminded me that our struggle was to NOT level past 19 while farming for gear, not in bg itself.

Skum and SFK runs were the best.
