US (VIDEO) Banned TC Jumps - Still Being Discussed About

How is using a macro "lame"? Wouldn't you be "lame" for not using macros? I macro as many things as I can. Only the foolish work harder than necessary.

This "macro" isn't a macro you can make in wow and is technically against to so its a little different

@Conq
I'd like to propose unbanning GY jumps with this video, looking at both sides have jumps to go up ramp. One may be harder to master but that's part of tinking!

Banning GY jumps has absolutely NO relevance AT ALL.

I never agreed with banning WSG/GY jumps, never made sense to me and never will.

The reason people pick a specific twink to be on their team is because of their skill. The reason you would pick a specific FC for your team would be for his FC skills too, which is directly related to his jumping capabilities.

The whole cup revolves around the fact that you want to show who the best twink team is! Well don't hinder people's potential! If they can't keep up with a jumping druid, well maybe you aren't the best team around and you don't deserve to win.

Alot of keyboards have macro features built into them whereby you can bind one of these macro keys to press multiple keys at the same time. Same concept as what starcraft players use for macroing really, if you've got the kit - use it imo ^^

Basically what rusks said, the "macro" is a hardware macro run by a 3rd party program that has to be up at the same time WoW is running, that works with macro-capable mice and keyboards (I use razer products, both of mine are capable) that when you hit said macro, duplicates whatever input you programmed. It can be as simple as W+space in the case of the "jump macro", or it can be as complex as a 3min+, absolutely perfect combat rotation, a perfect rogue opener sequence for X situation, etc etc.

The WoW ToS forbids hardware macros that input more than one thing at a time, and even just two keys together breaks that rule.

The thing about the "jump macro" is that you don't have to be careful at all, especially in multi-stage jump situations where if you don't perfectly do a forward jump from stationary, you fall down. You can just aim your character and mash it, and it'll be a perfect jump every time. It's a huge failsafe crutch and an unfair advantage over people who don't have $100+ gaming keyboards or razer mice when it comes to map exploitation. ESPECIALLY in cases where you have to perform under pressure.

As far as jumping videos go(and I'm saying I'm doubtful that Devm doesn't use one until shown otherwise, but not like I'm calling him a terrorist or anything or foaming at the mouth and calling names) and "jumpers" in general, it completely takes away the technical skill portion of what's being shown, leaving only map knowledge that a monkey could memorize, deflating the impressiveness of said feats.

Thanks for chiming in though alleyboober :) Hopefully that explains it for you.

Looking forward to the next video anyway lol, hopefully I can learn something worth using haha

So according to you just firehack 19s :) got it alleyboober
Mice do have macro features as well.
I still stand by above statement. Only the foolish work harder than necessary.
I will even add an additional pearl of wisdom. My Grandpappy always told me... "Sonny boy, when you learn to work smart, not hard, everything will be all right for ya."
I listened to my elders.
Your elders (circa 1920s?) told you it's ok to cheat at life eh, well can't argue with that.

Got it, according to you just flyhack/noclip in the twink cup because it's easier to dig with a bulldozer than a shovel.
Breaking the ToS is breaking the ToS. I might not personally have anything at stake when somebody uses a jump macro(in most cases) but it's still a lame thing to do and goes against the spirit of the game(and the actual terms of use)

If you owned a gun and robbing a convenience store was easier than working for a living... I mean, you *do* have the gun.

And you're asking me who the fool is.
Now how about we stop derailing someone's thread with your inane rambling?
If my "grandpappy" was george carlin, he'd be telling me right now:
“Never argue with an idiot. They will only bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.”

How is one supposed to prove they don't use a jump macro?

@Allybeboba you're basically justifying the use of every hack with your statement though. Fly hack, because it is easier to get around (a tool that makes it easier), speed hack, because running slowly is a disadvantage (again, a tool that makes it easier - maybe to cap a flag?) etc. etc. Your logic is extremely flawed at that point. I know I took it to the extreme, but this is basically what you are saying without restrictions.

Stop argueing so much, it's a video about me doing jumps (without a macro) ...
Don't bring negativity into the thread.

tsk tsk.... Only one that i liked was the little hill next to night elf war glaives.

Lets see.... you missed alot of exploits. Wanna team up?

I'm pretty positive I've shown all relevant jumps and exploits. If not, it's shown indirectly meaning the places you mean can be accessed through my jumps.
Maybe I forgot to record a few, I'm a person aswell!
I can be up for a few WSG exploration rounds with you!
