Legend
I'm looking to return to tinking, and I have an old warlock I was thinking about playing.

Armory

A few questions I had were:

Are warlocks viable?

Are my grandfathered items still BiS? (i.e. Inferno Robes, Jutebraid)

Thanks in advance.

Your grandfathered items are still really good.

Warlocks are viable. All 3 specs are pretty good in the gulch.

If played really well, warlocks are viable. That being said, they're probably the worst class right now.

You just have to accept that some pieces of gear are going to have to be heirloom.

Your Chest / Gloves / Ring are all GF'd and potentially very good - although both with Inferno Robes and Seal of Sylvanas you might want to consider that they are fairly situational.

But yes, that toon is very impressively geared.

Warlocks are far from the worst class at 19 seeing as all 3 specs are premade viable. Pala would take that title with ret/prot being the only semi viable specs for a pala in a premade and even then they don't bring enough to the table

Thank you! But yeah, I would swap in looms where necessary, but I'm happy to hear some of my grandfathered pieces are still relevant.

Get some multi-strike and some crit, role affi and have fun. Your items are still BiS. But inferno robe, might make you have a little low health. But that is up to you.

Your toon seems pretty decked out. Inferno Robe is still pretty fkn sick, since you're a class that lives off pressure (at least as Destro/affli), so you want to get as much intellect as possible, without sacrificing too much health (else you'll just get gimped 24/7, which is no fun).

What I'd do:

-Change your Judebraid Gloves' enchant to Major Spellpower
-Get Gold-flecked Gloves for max int set with Major Spellpower.
-Get Magefist Gloves with Glove Reinforcements for balanced set.
-Get 2nd Seal of Argas (if possible).
-Change chest enchant to Peerless Stats.
-Enchant the gear that needs enchants (currently, neck, shoulders, cloak, weapon, legs, rings).

The key factor here is that you have Inferno Robe. You will be able to throw out some mad oneshots. HF.

Jutes and inferno /jizz

Man very nice... But so much should change. Fallen Apprentice Ribe might be worth it, not sure what it scales to as 19 but its 12 stamina 12 into at 29... Tought to pass that up that health. Magefist with +9 stamina kit is huge and will be BiS once spirit goes to versatility in Legion. Engineer helm with +18 int is another option. I'd run stamina trinkets cc break and 15% health over 15 min agm bubble, its almost the same amount of stamina anyways. And yea there's better rings... Shipyard being bis.

Inferno Robes are BiS for int. Otherwise you gotta go with Heirlooms @19. There is no Engineer help @19.. And its pretty good to have AGM too. Just because Stamina is stronk, when the other Trinket is on CD. As for rings... Double Argas till bis :(

Alright but there is no BiS for int, it's just BiS. You have to look at the larger character and decide if I'm willing to take the stam loss here but gain it here. What are the net stats and does that work out to be better? I'd just be a little apprehensive about losing 12 or so stamina on a clothy. Obv the more int you can get the better. Just have to make it work.

Decide how much health you want.
Get the most stats you can.

Mine was 2600, which scales to ~4600

And got 175 int out of that, which is the most I've seen as Undead.

But probably won't help you much as 19...

in the end its all preference. bis isnt a huge deal since there are multiple ways to gear for different people or situations

Are Warlocks viable?

Destro Warlocks can be viable if played at an extremely high level. Affliction and Demonology are not viable. Warlocks are the worse class in the bracket, alongside Paladins.

Yes. You should model your character after Yøuredead. She is the best geared, highest skilled, and most experienced and successful 19 Warlock. If you have any additional questions, she is the one to talk to. She is one of the nicest players in the bracket and I'm sure she would love to answer any questions you might have.

Good luck with your Warlock and hope to see you in the Gulch soon.

not viable is a load of shit, less viable than a boomkin yeah okay but no where near as bad as a pala. affliction is decent and demo is best in arenas. in premades locks probably wont be used unless you have a fun group of people to play with who dont mind trying new shit
