Potential Thrallmar/Honor hold and other BC reps possibly available in 6.2!

Just a heads up, it appears that with the release of new time walking dungeons in 6.2 (BC/etc) they may be implementing boa rep bonuses for those older faction, that are account bound.

This creates the possibility for getting Honor Hold/Thrallmar exalted through these (Commendation of Thrallmar - Item - World of Warcraft)

They also appear to be implementing other boa commendations as well that are boa.

Commendation of The Consortium - Item - World of Warcraft
Commendation of The Sha'tar - Item - World of Warcraft
Commendation of the Cenarion Expedition - Item - World of Warcraft
Commendation of the Keepers of Time - Item - World of Warcraft
Commendation of Lower City - Item - World of Warcraft

which sucks for me, having semi-recently done the awful key grind >.< If these are implemented, get them asap! They may eventually be removed, like the isle of thunder rep was.
 
Nice, I remember when F2P's really looked at Reputation grinding a lot more because there was no account wide stuff really.
 
Lets just hope Blizzard doesn't stick some arbitrary minimum Character Level on those tokens. We'll find out shortly after the next Timewalking event rolls around and one of us purchases and then tries to use one of them on a lowbie we have. 6.2.2 is confirmed tomorrow and the Wotlk Timewalking event should start the day after (according to the patch notes stating Wed being the start of the weekend events after 6.2.2)

How will it go to waste? You will still have the Achievement that predates these new tokens so you will get to tell anyone that gets exalted with tokens "Back in my day we had to farm keys for that Reputation, uphill, both ways, in the mana storms... You kids have it so easy these days" hehe.

Just a quick update with this, as I've done a few of the dungeons.

you get about 35/40 points per instance (5 per boss, 10 for last and 10 for completing. The final boss of the first dungeon gives you a turn in for 500 points (once per timewalking weekend) and can be done once per character, meaning that with a lot of higher lvls you can get these done fast.

without rep bonuses, you need 84 marks, for 50 ea or 4200 points total, and with the DMF buff that drops to 77, or 3850 total points. You CAN grind this out in a single weekend with a lot of alts, or a lot of free time, but for everyone's sanity I don't recommend this.

I was not able to find the vendor in shatt, so I suppose it is not in the game currently (will be next timewalking weekend)

On further wowhead research it appears those 2 wotlk tabards require argent tournament marks to purchase, unless I'm mistaken, meaning they are unobtainable.

Unless Blizzard changed their minds (boy that's never happened lol) they specifically said that the Vendor in Dalaran and Shattrath would only be available during the Timewalking Event of that expansion. This weekend is WotLK, so that'd be why you couldn't find the Shatt vendor.

On another note.... any news about a Shattered Sun Offensive rep token?

See I don't look at it this way. Every single one of the Twinks who reached exalted with any Faction "before it was easy" either by Rep Tokens or increased Rep per kill (Timbermaw Hold anyone) has bragging rights over those who get it after. Sure the field of Characters with XX Exalteds will increase dramatically but in the words of other posters on here "Twinks are a minuscule portion of WoW's Player base" so that means even though many more Twinks will have said Exalteds we'll all still be a teeny tiny fraction of the community at large. I don't see 95%+ of Players using these tokens on ANY lowbies.

EDIT: And there's still the fact that some of us Twinks have GF'd gear... including GF'd Tabards which nobody can take away your glory.
