+3 all stats ?

today i saw a rogue with +3 all stats on gloomshroud armor i was wondering how he got it so i looked him up on armory
the enchant he used was called enchant chest - greater stats but when i look the enchant up on AH its says + 2 stats for me ?
so how did he get it apply the enchant before a patch / expantion ?

Display bug. You can check this out by using this enchant but I am going to save you this check. I believe it scales to +2 for the whole bracket. Peerless stats is the way to go for I believe +3. I am often mixing up heirlooms in my bag, one with greater stats and one with peerless stats and with simply gear swapping I can tell which one wearing at that time just by looking in the stats sheet and how they change with both chests.


I find this funny though, such a hard work by that rogue for a shroud and then he is not using the bis enchant for it. Hillarious (unless this changed but unlikely).

Old enchant, +3 carac give actually only +1 Carac. Its a bug

It's specifically the Classic +4 Enchant from AQ called "Greater Stats" and is unfortunately a display bug. Some of my 10 Twinks that still have this show +3, the others show +1 and all are actually +1.

You've been around long enough to know better than that. +4 Stats WAS BiS up to 29 until WoD hit, unless you are talking REALLY old school and you cheesed it with +6 Stats with the Formal Dangui chest or something like that. Could be the Rogue the OP saw just hadn't updated his/her gear to WoD yet.

I have both the world drop and the AQ of greater stats and they do not show difference in scaling or display bug for me. Not sure what this is and where did you get it from that I do not know that +4 used to be bis? Maby it is caused by my assumption that this guy has a new gloomshroud ond you believe it could be an old one cause those 2 greater stats do not display the same or giving the same stats? Well they do with mine, both show +3 and cannot see any difference between the old aq and world drop of greater stats but it could be like this, who knows, it seems i am not able to figure this one out by them all showing +3. I also do not recall that this item used to be bis, it had str and spi in the older days and changed to stats similar like the westfall tunic, maby from that era as a 19 could be possible.

Oh and btw formal dangui goes with dodge back in the days, 6 stats was not really beneficial cause normal gear and greater stats gave more stats and 29s pretty much used +6 or +120 on their raptortunic or one bracket lower inferno robe So no +4 stats wasn't always bis up til wod 29. You have been around long enough to know better (to bounce this silly ball back).These are tbc enchants too.

As I said I STILL have Greater Stats (i.e. old +4) on all of my 10 Twinks, as well as newer WoD choices. On 2 or 3 of my 10's it shows as +3 right now, but when I swap with a Chest that has no Enchant I only lose 1 stat, therefore it is an unfortunate display bug. The rest of my 10's with the exact same Enchant show +1. Also I can assure you that not all classes used Dodge on Formal Dangui back then, some most certainly used +6 Stats, the ones using Dodge were usually Rogue, Feral (no diff between Tank/DPS back then) and all Tanks/FCs. All Healers and nearly all DPS used +6 Stats for their main gear and then Dodge possibly for a pure mitigation set.

So do I, I have those also on all my 10s and 19s and even both in their bags. All of these from both recipes show +3 as bug and give +1 for me and I never said it was not a display bug. What are you trying to prove or say here.

If there were people using +6 stats or +120hp on a formal dangui they were just stupid. Normal gear + greater stats or even +100hp gave more benefits then a white with just +6 or +120. The only classes who used these, me included, the classes who benefit most from dodge, were only on lvl 10(-19) rogues. Other classes had better options with maby an exception for lvl 10(-19) pve tanks and yes there was a difference with normal dps specs not like you say there was not, where do you get this silly stuff from really. I still have 3 formals on my toons, and I was pretty much one of the few using this in whole EU and I even played whit a formal dangui on a level 10 in battlegrounds. Yours haven't even seen a bg, atleast the ones in your sig that is
