This is a cool idea, I'm just not sure what is being defined here. What do you mean by power? Do you mean strictly damage/healing output compared to the other classes? Skill level needed to play them? Overall effectiveness in objective-oriented WSG?

Also, is the note about feral druids being banned needed? That was for 19s, I think we have yet to get a feel for what may or may not need to be banned in 39s.

I'll bump up hpriest to hpallys tier. or would you say they are above hpally ?

I like the idea here Snowjobs , but do we really have enough information for this to reflect current state of 39s?

I might be a little off base here but...

The idea of a tier list at 39s seems pointless. The tool kits are large enough that just about any spec can be viable. As well, 39s arent nearly active enough to really even have a grasp on how different the meta might be from 19s. So the idea of trying to compile a list seems... premature.

The goal is really to just get the best general idea if anyone had a particularly good knowledge of 39s

or otherwise to just update as we go .

Fair enough. I just do not want to see someone spend the time on a toon based on this list only to find out speculation does not equate with reality.
Chops brings up a good point as well.

Either way we will figure out how things work over the next few weeks.

We also need to be clear about what we're talking about, I suppose.

Spread damage wise, I would presume Arms to be as strong, if not stronger, than it is in 19s and 29s. But it lacks any level of utility that so many other melee classes pick up at that level. An enhance shaman wont put out at much damage but between a ranged slow, ranged kick, totem utility AND burst damage potential thats quite scary... is it as high rated as a warrior? Lower?

In other words, in 19s you can largely divide PvP into DPS, healers, FC. Therefore, since we're really just talking damage, its prety easy to compile a list. In 39s you have to add utility classes into the consideration. How highly do we value that utility?

Maybe lets add a disclaimer to the top of the OP along the lines of "Hey, look. This current list is based on memory, theory, anecdotal duels and how classes tend to perform in other brackets. It will be updated (probably heavily) as activity increases"

Going to get glyph of wog for prot pal dps + glyph of holy wrath. Half the time I was keeping up with dmg in 2s witha fury war aand rogue without the glyph.

Excited to see how viable prot dps is at 39 :)

From what little my guild has tested at 39 so far that differs from the list:

- Enhance is way higher than a 3 1/2, they have very high damage (stormstrike crits for half of someones hp) and a lot of utility

- UA and Arcane are both 3 1/2 on this list. I've heard UA damage is quite low and that arcane is strong. UA also has much less CC and mobility compared to mages, so I'd either move Arcane up or move UA down.

- Shadow is definitely not a 5. The damage is kind of average; my priests dots tick for around 300 -- VT and SWP combined, mind blast + 3 orb DP does around 1800 burst damage non-crit. The other issue with shadow is that while pretty much every other class has some sort of interrupt or CC, shadow does not have any CC at all, so all they really bring is damage, a purge and offhealing. They seem pretty good, but I don't think they are anywhere close to the level of feral or enhance.
