Hey all, I'll keep it short. I had a good run of probably 9 years, it's time to move on. It's funny to think my time as a F2P has almost surpassed my P2P... the once small side project really took off.
I really have enjoyed my time in this bracket. It was fun tackling classes I've never done before. I've gotten to play with a lot of awesome people over the years. Keep doing what you are doing.
The major point of this is to address some of the stickies I have. I've reached out to someone to take over the Gear Scaling Index and hopefully with Yasueh's help this can take off a bit more. The beta addon was a little early for everyone to adopt.
F2PDev, yea this is a sad spot for me. This was my 2nd "commercially written" piece of software I've done, if you can call it that. It's been my pride and joy, it really has. 1000+ downloads. Nothing has meant more to my WoW time then seeing all your comments and encouragements about it. It's really just cemented how much I love writing things for people to use and supporting it. At this point in my life it's time that really should be invested in getting to that next level, creating Apps/coding professionally. So that's what I'm going to do.
For those that don't know I'm 30, have a wife and 4 great kids; so I'm going to enjoy that. Not to say that I didn't before but there were too many nights I found myself in a Q with a frustrated attitude, and that's not something I want to do.
If I could leave you young-ins with some advice; stay in school, listen to your parents, go to college, work hard. Get a degree, you need it out there. Pick a tech field and go with it, it won't let you down. Get a tutor if you need it, there's no shame in learning.
Hopefully you've enjoyed seeing a Mage out there. And hopefully they still continue.
