Will a razer naga increase overall skill?

I really enjoyed my wow mouse and currently my razer naga. I believe the extra buttons on the mouse can significantly improve performance for some people by allowing you access to every ability and potion you could imagine. I personally only use like 6 of the buttons on my mouse for my 19s so i can't imagine 20s needing many more buttons than 19s so it might be overkill for twinking but i find those extra 6 buttons really handy. One thing about the razer naga that I personally love is that mouseover macros actually work on the naga, where they would not work on my wow mouse (it'd register as a click everytime and not a button so it would never work for mouseovers). Overall, the razer naga could help your performance but the lack of abilities at low lvls limits your ability to actually effectively use all the buttons on the mouse.

Yeah, that's kind of what I was saying about not using the buttons. The G602 has six buttons, which is the amount I would probably use to play endgame PvP, if they ever balanced it, stopped piloting, fly-hacks, and DDoS'ing (that's kind of another story, though).

Anyway, you still have modifier keys, so just shift (easy to hit in ESDF) plus the few mouse buttons gives you quite a few binds. Just moving to ESDF gives you quite a few extra binds, in itself. I use the tilde button over to 6, Q through Y, A through H, and Z through B all the time. On a 100, I might even put long CD's on 7, U. J. and, N, if I'm feeling sassy. So, if you're thinking you need more binds, mouse buttons are just one solution. It really depends on what you like. I use the middle mouse click a lot, so a robust middle-mouse is probably going to be the determining criterion for my next mouse.

I will probably use the buttons on like a mage for arena focus macros would be really useful.

Naga really gives you that edge you need to achieve.

If you buy from an authorized Razer retailer, all mice have a 2 year warranty. I've owned the Naga 2012 which broke within 1 1/2 years, and I was able to get it replaced with the 2013 model.
Needless to say, that mouse also broke. IMO Razer mice are great functionally, but the materials are a bit on the cheaper side. My recommendation if that you invest in the Logitech G600, which comes with a similar layout and programming, but with high quality.
Also, Razer mice like to pick up a lot of dead skin that accumulate on the surface, which should be cleaned on a regular basis. I have never had to clean my G600 like I did any of my Nagas.

I have had the Naga Epic or w/e for a while. It's a badass mouse.

However, I don't care for arena and I spend my time in WSG. This may not the best mouse for that and I will tell you why. If the mouse is not 100% snug in your hand, when you go to press a button with your thumb, the pressure will move your mouse cursor. In BGs you're not using target party member macros, you're using mouseover macros. When you're trying to mouseover someone at the same time as pressing a button, chances are you're your accuracy will be lacking and you could miss a target.

For healing It's easier to set your mouseover flash heal for example as 2 on your keyboard and use your mouse freely hovering over characters than also hovering and also pressing 2 on the side of the mouse. Accuracy can severely lack when you're pressing the buttons on the side which is why most people use this mouse for arena where you are using target macros and not mouseover macros.

This is just what I've found while using this mouse for the past year or so. I know some people may not have these issues. No doubt you could tighten up your cursor speed but as a healer I always prefer faster cursors.

If you're doing 2v2s or 3v3s and using target macros, you'll be absolutely fine. If you're looking to do mouseover macros, it can really mess with you so most of my mouseover macros are still on my keyboard.

As for the scroll clicking speed, any mouse is going to have a great scroll clicking speed.

For clicking flags however, I've found that using abilities on your mouse while trying to scroll click a flag can also result in a lack of accuracy the same way a mouseover macro can. It's essentially the same thing, pressing a button on your mouse while hovering over a small target location. For any lock on casting, PvE, Arenas you'll be fine with this mouse but if your main thing is BGs with mouseover macros, you may not gain an enormous advantage.

I do still use this mouse and I love it however. I've blinded most of my mouseover macros to keyboard. Personally, I would consider the Logitec version of this mouse as sometimes my thumb can get lost on the keys. The Logitech comparable model has slanted buttons so it's much easier to make sure you're in the right position. On the Naga there are slight bar raises on the bottom of the keys in the 2nd row and 4th row (similar to the raised bars on a keyboard on F and J. Personally, I don't notice these often enough.

Edit: Another thing about Razer mice is they are designed to break with use. The scroll wheels on Razer mice have 2 white plastic tabs on both sides of the scroll wheel and that's what makes the tick noise and feel. They usually break down the road and most people who buy a Razer mouse often have to replace them down the road due to a scroll wheel going dead and free scrolling with the sensors broken so nothing can be registered from the usage of the scroll wheel. I'm sure all mice have similar hardware, however, I know that I don't trust the Razer hardware.

With that being said, when I got the Naga on employee discount for cheap I made sure I was covered for 2 years on it so I decided to go with it. I'm still somewhat tempted to switch to the Logitech personally. But I feel as though I may purchase that down the road and save the Naga for a backup rather than return this beautiful thing. I'm fairly confident that if I switched to the G600 I wouldn't need my backup naga, but this thing is just too pretty to get rid of lol.

on my naga the 2 and 11 are slanted so you can easily tell where buttons are, so i assume the new ones still have that feature and mine is very snug in my hand, so my cursor never moves when i click the buttons but that could be due to hand size or whatnot but i can't say i have the same issues on my 2014 version that you have with yours.

Fuck razer, cheep shit.

Skill is only developed after hours and hours of working on your craft. Using a better mouse will not increase your 'overall skill', but it could increase your ability to make use of your skill.

If I buy a razer naga will I be a better player, like is it worth it....

For example, i'm a boomkin or priest, one click mouseovers sounds fking badass.

Thinking about buying one.

Opinions?

Is a razer naga a must?
I bought a naga many years ago, great for stance changing as a warrior, not a gamechanging mouse at all

Hit the nail on the head, I will say tho after nearly 10 years of never using a naga the change in my game play was nearly immediately noticeable and after getting use to my side buttons I was rapidly doing significantly better in PvP. So it might not increase your skill but it will unleash it.
