Why rage quit?

As the title states. Why rage quit a battleground? Never fails, as soon as some one caps, the losing team always has someone rage quits. Plenty of time for a come back. Is it the generation is so used to playing games that don't keep scores so they always end end tie? Thus, the thought of losing just overwhelms their sense of well being so they just choose to quit rather than lose.
It is not just Warsong Gulch. It happens in Arathi Basin as well. As soon as the opposing team caps four bases, bam, rage quit. Or 1440 resources, bam, rage quit.

Frustration?

It's probably better to extricate yourself from a situation that is peeving you off than do some of the less savory alternatives ^_^.

I mean it's just a video game

Today a tauren camped me at AB then ragequitted just before dying.

People also /afk when they are gonna lose their lvl 80 scrolls or rare buffs like Rallying Cry.

I never /afk on purpose, I do it really rarely - sometimes I need to go outside of house faster than I thought and it's in the middle of the game, but I always try to find someone else to take the flag I am carrying and let people know that "XXX" base will soon be without defense.

It happens and always was and always will be. I think it's rude and all, but remember that people sometimes really need to go and need to afk.

Yes, very rude. But, let's face, in this day and age players do not care about being rude.
I agree whole heartily that there are times when there are time when you really-do- have -to-go. That is why I don't raid hardcore anymore. One phrase... "wife-aggro"

i ragequit when i get very angry from a string of games
i've broken several mouses bc of this game
sorrynotsorry

I've seen many 'veterans' from this site AFK in the dying moments of a battleground.. Supposedly protecting their precious win-rate..

Fair enough if you can tell it's a steamroll within a few minutes.. But to play an entire game and then pussy out at the last second... GG, less honor and deserter for you then :)

I have afked out of a handful of games when things in real life pop up. It happens and I wouldn't blame anyone doing the same.

On a true rage quit though, frankly, I'm glad when they leave. They're usually the person doing next to no damage/healing/teamwork while whining at how the group sucks. On the other side of the coin, joining an in-progress game where you're looking at a 0-2 deficit and the efc is riding unchallenged into their base is pretty frustrating and seems to be an increasing trend. I wouldn't do that to anyone on purpose.

Edit: ^lol @wife-aggro solution. That's gotta work at least half the time.

Puss out is the exact words I would use. And their precious win ratio is only head in high regard by themselves.

The only times I /afk out of BGs is when im getting farmed. Im not going to stand there like an idiot being an easy kill.

Don't have to be farmed. A simple solution is just don't rez.. Walk away from the rezzer. Perfect time to get up, get a glass of juice, water, take the dog out, or whatever. If only everyone would do this, the cancer of GY farming would cease. You can't farm people if they don't rez.

I leave games when the team can't understand the basics of Warsong Gulch and Arathi basin.

I have seen people quit like 30 seconds one time literally 2 seconds before the match ended and I'm talking people leaving themselves not dc's. I don't get it. Basically the thought process I have gone through when I think about afking is whether the game will last more than 15min, if so and its something like getting farmed and your team is to stupid to listen to you when you say stop ressing into them then yes I would probably rage quit and leave otherwise I just stay in ghost form and tab out, but that's just me. Obviously if something irl comes up then who cares.

you have alot of players that came from or still have players in 19 bracket. where until bracket crash AFKing and win logging were prevalent.
once some do it, it becomes a trend especially for players owning P2P in the bracket.

Basically, there is many ways to "break" the farming. OFc just in case u have time/will to spend.

This.

People actually care about their W:L ratio and their death ratios.

The only times I ever afk out are if there's at least 5 minutes (preferably 12+ minutes) left and if I'm switching to a different class.
-It's terribly unfair for people who wait in queue for 5-15 minutes just for a scoreboard loss when they join the game.

As for buffs? I personally click off my dragonslayer all the time but people afk out all the time to save theirs.

Some ppl leave when they just see the team lol and just give up.In AB it pretty simple to move out of getting farmed in one base, move your spirit to your ally/horde base and ress there unless its full domination lol.
I personally stay even though the team is loosing or crap but there's no way of new players knowing what to do is it their fault? No you have to tell em the basic concepts. If ur getting farmed in wsg die on the wall of the gy and move spirit to the top of gy if they haven't removes insignia and jus deff is usual 1 peron will grab flag and jump down to gy.
