I haven't read the whole thread, but I think the stuff you mention about being open/friendly/welcoming is so key.
The F2P bracket (discounting P2P players) since its inception has been incredibly active I think in large part because of how open and welcoming it is. Having the F2P addons, endless guides, people with P2P accounts helping new players along, and a decent community just makes the whole experience much nicer.
I've played 19s super casually on EU. I really like the bracket and think it's really interesting and fun, but my god is even thinking about joining in on any community-related terrifying. I'm not an amazing player, I have done/do decently in PUGs but am in no way 1337. I've had a great many pleas for advice in BGs answered with mocking jeers. My first and only real foray into premading was a thoroughly harrowing experience and I got bawled out instantly for missing a fear.
The whole community seems to be based on vendettas and cartoonishly inflated egos. The apparent disgust that exists at having to play with any player that isn't 100% BiS, despite players like that being the reason you might be getting BG pops is stupid. It's like 24s complaining about the existence of F2Ps, when they're the reason their bracket actually works.
Massive essay, but as a TL;DR: New players would be encouraged if some of the current community could manage to be friendly and not c****.

Are you really asking me this? I have provided you with the exact reason for why 19s has stopped popping in the exact text that you are quoting. If you are going to quote someone you should try and actually read it before asking stupid questions that has already been answered.
19s stopped popping because the core competitive players of the bracket stopped queuing, due to multiple reasons that I explained in my previous post. You should try and PM some of your friends on TI or have someone read for you as you seem to lack the ability.
The carebears of the bracket have exactly what they want. The majority of core competitive players are doing something else at the moment, be it other brackets/private servers/other games/school/work.
They can set up their own code of conduct, they can queue up on their meeles with a considerably lower risk of someone mentioning it. They can play O and D all day and live happily ever after.
Yet this does not happen.
There are several reasons why. A lot of the people complaining on forums actually do not play the bracket anymore, or if they do they often queue up considerably less then the majority of players who keep the bracket popping. A related reason why they can't get pops alone is just due to the simple fact that they do not have the numbers, they really don't have that many people who agree with them and are ready to queue up.
A third reason, which Is my personal favorite is the fact that they know that if the core competitive group of players come back they would just get stomped on their O and D combo and they would be stuck at graveyard once again, because not only are they inferior players gameplay-wise, they also cling on an ancient playstyle. I think this is an important aspect to understand why these players like to complain about the people who are top dawgs under this current meta, it is a way to make themselves feel better about being bad. "Things are fucked up anyway so if I suck it does not matter"

Thank you. Your post made this whole thread worth the time, at least for me. It's good to be reminded there are people who could be joining any given community, but are frankly nervous about doing so.
