Hey, guys.

It's been a while. I don't really play or post anymore, but I have spent a lot of time on the game, and am still vaguely interested in it.

Anyway, a brief explanation on how I got some items sent to my F2P account. Firstly, I have a full account that I have not paid for in many years. It is currently Cat level because during the recent changes to the scroll of resurrection system, all resurrected accounts were upgraded to Cat level for free.

So, with that in mind, this method may not work for everyone, although it should only cost $5 to buy a full account and link it anyway. I know people have spent more than that on pets and tabards for their F2P.

First, I got the BoAs, with both gold and JP, and chanted them. I then sent them to a monk I made when I had one of the free MoP trials they give out to inactive accounts. I'd then open a ticket and explain that I could no longer access the monk, and they'd give the BoAs or enchanting scrolls etc. to the character I asked for on my linked account, in this case my F2P character.

Now, sometimes they will send it as GM mail, in which case, problem solved. Get it out and use it. In one instance they mailed the BoAs as mail from the monk character, which I could obviously not access. My solution to this was to say I still had a problem in the ticket, and say I could not log in to WoW for a while, so would it be possible to put them in his bags instead? They put them in his bags, so make sure you have room before doing this.

Other times I had asked to have BoAs transferred from my frozen (no game time) paid account, and their response to this was always to give me 2-3 days of free game time. Useful for when you want to fly yourself around during a world event or exploration etc.

That's pretty much it. I don't want this to turn into a should you, or shouldn't you do this on your F2P thread. If you want to do it, do it. If you don't want to, don't. Pretty simple.

Now, that's what I did. I'm sure there are plenty of other methods people have used, both successfully, and more often, not.

One of the most interesting developments for me, was using fake details to upgrade your account, and then getting it put back to F2P. Doing this you can join a guild, get gold, which means bags, bank slots and multiple other things like rare, even GF, BoEs and various other things made a lot easier. Guild BoAs. Want a horde helm that isn't a stupid fishing hat? This is how you can. You can also probably up your professions, which makes free action potion a possibility for F2Ps. That's a huge game changer. I haven't tested this method myself, and would be reluctant to do it on an account I have put a lot of time into, but on a new account, it sounds like something worth trying.

I haven't played in 5.4, and don't intend to. I'm just not interested anymore, but I still like the idea of finding out what's possible and making it happen.

Again, do not turn this thread into 20 pages of whining about purity or legality or 24s or any other ridiculous thing many of you have such a penchant for around here. This is purely an informative thread for those interested in finding out what is possible.

There's multiple ways of doing this. I simply went into detail about my methods. You can probably say a friend was quitting WoW, and sent you some items, and you can't log into WoW for a while, so you wanted them placed in your bags. No linking, or even a full account required.

You also don't have to use the items just because you have them in all situations. Likewise, you can also use this method to send yourself otherwise unobtainable mog items. The point of the thread was to explain how, not to bring up the endless moral objections of people too lazy/stupid/obstinate to be able to do it themselves. I think the black DMF shoulders would be a nice mog touch for many sets.

Helm chants are working again. Low levels that kept their 450 professions from LK are working again. Satchel loot and gems still work. Again, if you don't want to use them, don't. I really don't see any need for any controversy at all.

Temporarily upgrading the account and joining guilds seems like a great idea. No real PvP advantage there, but quite a few great things like guild perks and communication as well as the profession boost. I'm surprised it's not more popular. It means you can completely remove almost all advantages P2P have. The only thing F2P can't have are the abilities that being 21+ give you. For some classes and specs that's game changing. For most it's not a big deal. Everything else can be completely equal. You will effectively be a P2P 20.

I wish people would stop making these kinds of thread's. if your all so unhappy at how f2p restricts you just go p2p!!! not only are all these exploits/trick's (whatever you want to call them) completely retarded considering 90% of f2ps bash p2ps -.- but there also a complete waste of time... I mean come on would it kill you to pay 8.99 a month and not have to go through all these bs methods to feel like a regular p2p? non of you can be that broke that you want to save 8.99 a month this badly (I hope!!!).

OP is completely right, this thread should NOT draw attention to what f2ps get up to while telling p2p not to.

+1

And balance is not going to come so long as a significant proportion of twink players go out of their way to demonstrate just how much of a bunch of selfish douchebags they are, unworthy of anyone's respect or effort.

You're disrespecting any other f2p player who doesn't have a paid account, because this is pay-to-win.
You're disrespecting Blizzard because it's a way to stop paying them money they have every right to, while keeping the rewards, and you're also wasting the time of their GMs.
You're also disrespecting paying players regardless of their level, because they have earned the right to their guild heirlooms or enchants, as they are continuing to pay the subscriptions for them.

You think Blizzard should balance the bracket? Why should they when you do something like this? They're far more likely to just put more restrictions on f2p accounts to prevent you from doing these things, and you could be costing all f2p players access to GMs.

It's thoroughly inconsiderate, and looks only at short term personal gains, instead of the long term effects to the whole of a community. Blizzard already give next to no attention to PvP, especially twinks, and it's no surprise why, when so many twink players consistenly act in this way.

I outlined ways to do this without a paid account. It's quite simple really. Let me assure you that anything anyone here does will have zero impact on what Blizzard do with the game, in much the same way nothing you say here will have any impact on anything anyone does, least of all me.

As for why people play F2P, and don't simply pay for the game, it's money. There is no other reason. F2P players choose not to pay for the game. Blizz understood this would happen, although that was not the primary intention of F2P. It's an extended advertisement designed to make money, and it worked. Even people that post here have bought the game as a direct result of their F2P experiences.

If you don't want to do any of these things. Don't. Please stop whining about it, and feel free to post something constructive, assuming some of you are capable of that.

I'm really surprised more people haven't jumped on the idea of joining guilds and extending the gold cap and removing storage space issues, as well as increasing the profession cap. There's really no need to complain about P2Ps having an advantage. The only thing stopping F2P from being on par with P2P in terms of PvP is their own laziness.

False statement. By no means do you have to have a p2p to do this.

No, you just have to commit fraud by upgrading the account with fake credit card details, and then lying to a Blizzard representative about why the payment failed to go through.

According to California law (where Blizzard is based):

532a. (1) Any person who shall knowingly make or cause to be made,

again made on said day, would be then true, when in fact, said
statement if then made would be false, and procures upon the faith

one year, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
(5) This section shall not be construed to preclude the
applicability of any other provision of the criminal law of this
state which applies or may apply to any transaction.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news Yasueh but no matter how much information you give which shows how this is criminal behavior, people will still do it regardless. I admit, it is tempting as a f2p to do this for certain reasons, and some of us will choose to exploit for those reasons but preaching about how this is wrong or how f2ps are cheap is the same thing as doing this

We all know that it's wrong to exploit but guess what? Drum roll please....

People will still do it anyway, regardless of what you say or think.
