/facepalm
ITT: Apathy, ignorance, and flagrant disregard for the law.
but u are doing it deliberatly...
just curious... im on this website so please tell me what fraudulant stuff i did?!?What? As long as you don't deliberately put in the wrong information/missinform a GM for your own winning, you're not committing fraudulant behavior. /faceplam all you want, it will only make you look more rediculous.
And btw, anyone who calls this out as being "illegal" is a big hypocrit. I can promise that any twink on this website have made themselves guilty of fraudulant behavior - both IRL and in the game.
Pro tip: to anyone who's against this and want to be taken seriously, use moral and not legal arguments and you might appear as a tiny bit less lost at least
This is the method used to get items without a p2p account that the OP is referring to:

"These codes are purchased with fake information"
California Penal Code section 532a subsection 2 says that if you knowingly make use of a 'false statement in writing' (purchasing of a code using fake information), made by another person in order procure products or services, you yourself have commited an offense.
It is considered the same as passing a bank note you know to be fake, even if you didn't print the note.
In addition, it is normal when accepting a contract from a company (Blizzard's ToU/EULA), that you agree to be subject to the laws of the country/state in which that company is based.

knowingly using an empty account (that is what your getting at) to obtain goods or services IS fraud. proving it is hard, but we know what you/they are up to. if you really wanted to get technical, there's about 10pages of proof on these forums. read up on cheque and credit card laws.
frankly i couldn't care less about it... i just dont understand when you could of made a char on your p2p account and done w/e you liked. is they actually a point to going to all this trouble?
1. As I said, it's not fraud. Fraudulant behavior if anything.
2. I know the laws, and as I've said countless times already, it's all about the intention and not the act itself.
I refer to my earlier posts. The illegal act is not to put in fake information, the illegal act is if you intentionally did it.

Again, do not turn this thread into 20 pages of whining about purity or legality or 24s or any other ridiculous thing many of you have such a penchant for around here. This is purely an informative thread for those interested in finding out what is possible.
Mods, clean this up, or lock it up.
Hang on, I'm sorry, but... the purpose of the mods is to enforce the site's rules, not to remove posts that you don't personally agree with. Furthermore it's kind of silly to post about a highly controversial topic and then expect--much less demand--that there be no dialogue about it.
