I understand you're looking to get a quest reward swap! Unfortunately, this isn't an in game design, nor does the Game Master staff have permission to go around quest rewards after they've been chosen. I totally understand how frustrating certain things in game can be and getting it changed to better suit your needs would be awesome. We totally agree! With that said, I want to thank you for being so cool about this and hanging in there with us.
Me- That doesn't make any sense if someone can bring an item back from being destroyed why can't a GM switch a quest item. I really don't feel like re-rolling another character for something as small as this. Paying for this game should at least allow me to make a small mistake and have it fixed

Blizz- I can certainly understand the frustration involved with the issue here. It's not fun to end out with a piece of gear that is not ideal for the class and spec you are in. I wanted to make sure that I've exhausted all options before giving a decision regarding issues like this. After looking at the items involved, it seems that they are from 2 different quests. Scrap Metal Shield is a strength shield from the quest Read the Manual and Cobrahn's Boots are Agility boots from the Dungeon quest Cleansing the Caverns. This is a large reason we we are unable to assist with the issue. I wouldn't let this get you down too much though, gear at that level comes fast and often, so it is likely that you will replace a lot of pieces in a short time. s('-^)-b
Me- Almost there but i feel we are still a little bit at an misunderstanding. The only exchange i'm looking for is (Serpent's Gloves in exchange for Cobrahn's boot). Both rewards are from the quest Cleansing the Caverns. This should be no problem now that we're on the right page
ps: Serpent's Gloves are in my character Orebrb's bags

Blizz- First, let me apologize if anything was said that may have been construed as what may be preventing such a request from being fulfilled. The truth is, we simply do not swap quest rewards for situations like these. There is a very narrow exception we can make if it can be considered that the quest offered a reward your class cannot use (such as receiving a two handed sword as a shaman when it should have offered you a shaman item) and this really only applies to quests that are considered current content that offer dynamic rewards based on class.
Me- The GM who answered my question before said the only reason why he wasn't able to switch it was because it was the wrong quest i was referring too. Now that i gave him the right quest i don't understand how there is another problem in the way. Sounds like just excuses at this point. Is it really above your power to swap (useless) Serpents gloves for Cobrahn's boots (something i can actually benefit from). I've seen it done before and i'd have to re-roll if this can't be done which might result in me just entirely walking away from this Video Game...

Blizz- m sorry to hear you chose a quest reward mistakenly! I definitely know how upsetting it is to realize you've gotten the wrong item, especially one with a unique model. I've looked into the situation thoroughly to see if we could grant you an exception to our current policies. However, because of how long it's been since you received the Serpentis' Gloves - over a year at this point - and the fact that it is not current, top-end content, we're unable to swap them for Cobrahn's Boots.

Stop Playing With Me Pleaseee, you guys are contradicting yourselves from one excuse to the other, if there is a way for me to please get cobrahn's(Switch, which there is cause i've seen it done, plus your employee said it :/...) i won't say a word i just want my boots man. I need them to be BiS and yes that means alot an no i'm not re-rolling or i'm quitting.

Blizz- I did want to do my best to help you in this situation and did check into the quest you mentioned, however when I looked into it further, the Gloves that you had were created (and the quest in question completed) over a year ago. While we do try to make exceptions for players that do make mistakes, a year is too long. I'm really sorry, however we will be unable to switch the item for you in this situation
Me- Unless the "Time" Was just imputed a few days ago, i don't quite understand how a GM can tell me something is possible then completely take it back :/... The following quote

This Quote explains that he was going to switch the rewards. But he wasn't sure if i wanted to do that. The misunderstanding was i was asking for Serpents Gloves for Cobrahn's Boots Not the book. And this was 4 days ago, please feel my pain of how someone can just lie to you like that. It just doesn't add up how time can be so important when i was just technically told that my dreading situation can be resolved a few days ago. Please try an contact me in game.
