Heya! I was hoping that I could exchange my Acquisition Bracers for Merger boots from the quest Shore Leave and my Conspirator's Slippers for Uninsured Bracers from the quest Mutiny, Mon!. Thanks in advance!

Game Master Lotizog here! I apologize for not being able to contact you while you were online. I hope you're doing fine. :3

Having said that, I just wanted to take a moment to touch base and personally address this for you. After reading over your ticket and talking to my uppers about it, I was sadly informed that there is no case where we're allowed to change quest rewards once decided. Since there is an 'accept' button, any decision make about it is final.

I don't understand why you cannot exchange the quest rewards for me. I've seen several cases where quest rewards were swapped even after a long period of time. I have no use for the Acquisition Bracers as they have hit on them which are useless for my class since Shamans gain hit from Spirit. I can't stand not being best in slot in all of my gear slots on my characters. If I don't have these items exchanged I'd really not rather reroll for something as small as this, from a mistake of choosing the wrong item for my character. I've simply just put too much work and invested too much time into my character. I'd greatly appreciate it if you could exchange the quest items. I've seen it done before and I'd have to re-roll if this can't be done which might result in me just entirely walking away from this Video Game.

Thanks for getting in touch regarding this quest reward exchange.

Whilst I do appreciate that this is frustrating, unfortunately, as mentioned previously, we are unable to swap quest rewards for players anymore. One of the main reasons (although not the only one) for this is that the numbers of requests that we were seeing on a daily basis were frankly staggering, and beyond the scope of what we would class as sustainable support.

Whilst we do try to accomodate players as best we can, there does come a point where personal responsibility needs to become a factor. In order to ensure fairness for all players, and to stem the flood of "you helped player x but you won't help me", type tickets, we decided that the best course of action in this case would simply be to no longer assist with these issues, as it is (and always has been) a player's responsibility to ensure that the items that they are choosing are the correct ones for their class and spec.

I'm really sorry that we can't help out with this though, and hope that it doesn't impact on your gameplay too much.

It doesn't make any sense that someone can bring an item back from being destroyed but why can't a GM switch a quest item? I really don't feel like re-rolling another character for something as small as this. Paying for this game should at least allow me to make a small mistake and have it fixed.

I wish that you guys would stop playing with me :(. You guys are contradicting yourselves from one excuse to the other, if there is any way that I could have my two quest items swapped (which there is because I've seen it done, plus your employee says it's possible), I won't say a word I would just really like my quest items swapped to items that I can actually benefit from. I need them to be BIS and yes that means a lot and no I will not re-roll or I'm quitting.

Sounds like just excuses at this point. Is it really above your power to simply swap my quest items? I know that it can be done and I would end up having to re-roll my character if this can't be done which might result in me just entirely walking away from the game...

Thank you for contacting us, my apologies on the issue you are having, In the past with an issue like this, we did in some cases, fix it for players, however, this issue seemed to occur more often than usual,once players knew we could trade the items for them. Since then players are now responsible for what items they chose on a roll, we are no longer trading the items in a roll nor do we have the tools to do it. It has been removed due to the over flow of this such request.

If this causes you to leave the game, i'm sorry, but sadly we just do not do it anymore :( .


It doesn't make any sense that a GM can bring back an item that someone destroyed as the situation seems very similar to that of picking the wrong quest item. =/ I in fact had these quest items switched in the past (this was before they gave Shamans hit based on Spirit) and now the bracers with hit rating are useless for me. Is there a possibility to even revert the items since I did have them at one point in time or if I were to even delete the items I want switched? Just really want the bracers with crit =(

Game Master Therlainvele here master of all the cute pets in game! I understand that you put in a ticket regarding an item you wanted to have swapped out.

As stated before we would not be able to swap your item out. I understand that you would like to have the item exchanged as it you would benefit your character more at this point at time. However, we will not be able to swap the item. What I will do on your behalf and it is something you can do as well if you wish to back me up on it is forward your concern of not being able to swap out a quest item for another at a later date. If you use the suggestion tool in game you can also inform them this is something you would like to see added to the game.

I do this anytime I feel a change needs to be made and I make about two suggestions a week. Tons of changes to the game has been made by player feed-back and while this is not something we will do for you now maybe through your feed-back in the future it maybe possible.

I apologize for not being able to contact you while you were online. Things have been a little crazy around here o_O. Having said that, I just wanted to take a moment to touch base and personally address this and provide you with the best possible answer I can give you o/*\o (high five!)



Was persistent like Ore and used what he said but it got me no where and I'm stumped on the last GM response. /giveup :(

I made a second ticket in the same week (instead of re-opening, I made a new one) and the GM got all pissy with me about making two tickets on the same subject... guess I got the same guy...

Yeah, I would stick to reopening the same ticket over and over again rather than starting a new one. That way they know what the problem is already and they can't potentially ban you for harassment. They encourage you to open new tickets and I don't think they'd ban a person that is threatening to quit over the situation and I already do in fact have my account cancelled because I will be quitting for a few months when I move.

I'm giving it another try. I gave up last week, but I'm really hoping I can get this shit changed.
 
look at the bright side, a few months from now, Crit bracers might not be bis and spirit isnt hit then everyone else will be trying to get bis while u guys are already

Lol, old topic but whatever. I happened to have finished a quest 2 years back and unable to get the only option I have to finish a mog set [Sandals of Sacrifice] for that leather blue/gold set. Had two tickets opened on the case already. First time I lost because of the long period of time passed, second time was "we dont do that"... I will keep going until I get them- just like the guy from The Shawshank Redemption :) What do u think is better - reopening the ticket or opening a new one? Does reopening bring the same game master again and new ticket = new master (most likely) ?

Note, in the past , I had a GM swap quest reward for me, but it was a matter of couple of weeks then- I wanted to get Keeshan's Bow for my hunter to mog the looms to it and it worked on the 2nd try- it worked for me by saying that "Im sure I clicked that other item, dont know how I got this one" so they took it as a bug or something (im sure they felt the lies :D )
 
I believe some people had an add on that accidently chose the reward with the "highest value of gold/silver" so if you can tell the GM that the reward was automatically chosen or something like that, it could help.
 
Delete the item you don't want, then open a ticket and tell them you are trying to acquire an item that you no longer can get cause you've already completed the quest. That's what has worked for me in the past. Good Luck.
