Beating Gemmers

Sockets have been hotfixed. Why don't u losers get over it? There are no new gemmers. There will be no new gemmers. People just raging, because they're losing and want something to blame. Blame healers. Blame OP Warriors. Blame weapon chains. Blame lack of skill. But, u can't blame the gemmers anymore, because sockets are fixed.

This thread is played.

Forgot about weapon chains. All of this over a miniscule percentage of the player base. I can bet you that more people use weapon chains than used gems, yet it did not cause thia much of an uproar.

Yes. A level 90 enters then I entered. Aelobin has tweeted ghostcrawler vids of his guild doing cata raids at level 80. Blizz knows about it and is doing nothing and has done nothing. Blizz however has said before gems are against the ToS and have banned people.

Ah cool, thanks mang.

Hi, I'm ChrisMaguire and I like hunting HoneyDodgers.

Could you elaborate on what exactly the game that you are hunting, the "HoneyDodger" is?

I'm sure many would be fascinated to know.

You can do many things at low levels. That is the fun of twinking. My level 1 twink has AGMs and Furlbog sack.. WHEE!!!

Indeed. That is the fun in twinking :3

I was using the other meaning of game;
"Game (food), any non domesticated animal hunted for food and sport"

Did someone say food? Lets talk bacon again. Chicken Fried Bacon is my favorite. Fat, breaded with fat, fried in fat and then you dip it in fat. It can't get any better.

"Since the dish is rich in saturated fat, those health experts that favor low-fat diets suggest consuming it in moderation or not at all."haha

What's even funnier is the resturant that served it here in TX burned down possibly due to a grease fire.

See you all in Coronary Care Unit at the local hospital!!

/cheers

Gemmers will never be banned. At most, their gems' beneficial effects will be stripped off.Same shit happened with librams,shoulder/leg enchants, same shit will happen with Gems.Enjoy while you can, folks.Oh,well,"c'est la vie".

At the risk of boring everybody, here's a twink exploit story.
I use to have a 29 horde twink named Renado. At the time, the best ally guild was <Team Play>.
All of their main-stayers had Greater Inscription of Vengeance - Item - World of Warcraft and Arcanum of Ferocity - Item - World of Warcraft via a trade/mailbox exploit.
I was morally opposed to this so I got my cave stoved in by them for months (Which may have happened anyway...)
So I understand, and have once shared your mentality.

That all went out the window 2 months ago when I got my balls nuked off by the shockadin, Faíth.
I armoried her, saw she had gems, Googled how to do it, and wanted to compete this time around...

I've been browsing through this thread and it has been quite amusing. To get to the point though, what barenjager says above is how all of you should be thinking. I'm f2p now after years of twinking since classic. Even as a f2p twink, I don't see why you (a p2p twink) would not use the gems if people are abusing them in the bracket. Back in the day, if people were sploiting gear, you had to do it as well or else you couldn't compete. So if you are capable of gemming your gear you should 100% do it if it is a rampant problem in the bracket. There are few examples where this logic doesn't apply. Only one I can think of is back during enti's sword, I used to keep one in my bag in case someone was abusing it in a wsg. But there was a modicum of respect back then and it wasn't really an issue.

Who are you, Dr. Phil? Thanks, but I don't need some random to tell me how to think.

Nooo.. You're supposed to have the one up everything way of thinking. Screw banning gems all together.. Lets just make it so the person who gets 1 shot by someone who gems then learns how to do it so then they can 1 shot the next fool who doesn't know so the cycle continues until enough people who get 1 shot and DON'T abuse the exploit reports it and they baddie gemmers come back down to fair play. Until then and until enough people opposed to it gets rid of it the cycle will never stop.

If the people who are supporting gemming actually had the attitude to report gemming and make sure they won't get 1 shot by a gemmer again instead of abusing the exploit to make sure they can 1 shot things then this wouldn't be an issue

People don't get banned in the low level brackets for exploiting. If it happens it is extremely rare. The concept of reporting people and keeping your twink legit was tried long ago and it failed. No one ever got banned. You got beat 99% of the time because you were the only one choosing to not use the latest exploit fad that hit the streets. There are only two actions to pursue in these kinds of scenarios. Either do what the enemy is doing, or move on to a bracket where problems like this don't exist. But that is the thing. There will always be new exploits in every bracket. It is a never ending cycle. I am not trying to sound elitest or like a know it all, hell I rarely play these days (a little f2p here and there), but this is how twinking works and has worked since forever. If you are constantly facing gemmers and it is becoming an issue, the only solution is to combat them using the exact same methods or log off.

But Blizz is quick to fix things now and I'm sure they have probably cleaned up the mess. Including voiding all current grand-fathered twink gems by turning them red and gaining no stat benefit.
