If someone were to post this on the official WoW forums I would be grateful. I'd also appreciate it if someone with a higher education corrected it to remove the grammar errors and take it out of second person while still sounding fluid.
Our current honor system completely ignores objective play when calculating honor rewards. I think it would do well if certain things were implemented in each BG individually, instead of blanketing something random over the entire portion of the game known as PvP, which blizzard has been known to do. (i.e. resilience, battle fatigue)
The idea I thought of was geared towards WSG, since that is what the vast majority of f2p's play most of the time. If for every 2 minutes you were alive, you became worth +1 honor. For every killing blow you hit, you're worth +1 honor. Every 10k dmg or healing done (this would need to scale), worth +1 honor. The list goes on. Whenever you died, your worth would be reset back to 0. If no one gets honor from GY farming then it will be less likely to occur. Also, awarding 5 honor for 1st flag cap, 10 for 2nd, and 15 for 3rd would be a possibility as well, encouraging 3 capping quickly for maximum honor.
I imagine you think this would mean players could amass massive amounts of honor. They would, compared to what we receive now, but it would be easily comparable to what players got almost every game in Cataclysm.
