I've been trying to spread the word as much as possible about this idea, and I've finally got around to making a thread about it..

A lot of you have already heard, but for those who haven't here it is:

Now that we can group with with other people from different realms, and then get zoned in to their server list. I was thinking, why not try this on a much larger scale? Let me explain.

One Alliance leader, one Horde leader from the SAME realm (Probably Alex't) starts a raid group. Inviting real-id friends, guildies, and allowing those to invite their own real-id friends and guildies. This should render a huge outcome as far as having two large groups of 20-30, 20-24s on ONE server, on both Horde and Alliance.

From there, the sky is the limit. It's obvious were I'm going with this; just one big battle in the middle of no were! I was thinking the Barrens, near WC, close to a GY, but not too close to it.

However, the details aren't set in stone or anything, which is why I'm posting on here, to see if we can't come up with perhaps a better location? And perhaps get an idea of those who are looking attend.

Hopefully we can all agree on a date/time. I was thinking spring-breakish time. It allows the younger players to be available during later hours, college students take a break from the stress, and work slows down just a bit.

Let me know what you guys think! I'm super excited for this, and hope that we can all agree on just having one great big party of fun! 20-24s style!


Edit: Let's not forget here either! 20s ARE going to be able to participate as well, so you f2ps out there don't think that you're going to be left out! We need all that we can get :D

Sounds like a blast, although instead of just horde vs alliance, why not just make it a battle royal, last group standing kind of thing so controversial guilds on the same faction could have their chance at making their statements, (ie Horde Invasion and Holy Crit) (everyone knows their long standing feuds), and people could get a chance to vent their feelings and get over it lol, make raid groups and all show up at grubashi with a LOT of 90s to keep the crashers out. Or time it for the arena master trinket, the group that loots it wins kind of thing, either way i hope you post a date way in advance so we all have time to make it, i really hope you pull this off. I would love to be there just for the " I was there!! " bragging rights like being at woodstock hahah. as always, peace. oh, yeah im a noob and haven't updated my signature, rawr, peace :)
 
So basically, it's like how this bracket plays warsong gulch, but not in warsong gulch.

And that's kind of the reason why i made the thread, to kind of get an idea of what time would be considered "peak time"

It's important to keep in mind that we have aussie friends, and people from all over the world twinking on our US servers, so we don't want them to miss out on it either!

As far as the date goes; when we do decide on one, It'll be announced way ahead of time, to insure that we get the maximum number of players online, and ready.

This will take some coordination on everyone's end. So help spread the word, and I'll get with the guild leaders of the major guilds and hopefully we can all decide on a good time/place/date for the slaughter fest!
 
I am down for this. Like I have told you before I would love to be able to help in setting this up. You can just whisper me in game or message me on here if you want my help.
 
Lith, I absolutely love your idea! Might play my 24 again just for this event! Also if 90s come along I can hop on my main and help out. Will most likely to get the guild and a few friends to support me if the 90s become an issue.
 
An idea to help figure out the best time and day that I have used in past when dealing with lots of people is make a spreadsheet with name day and time people will most likely be on. Sort the days to get the best day for majority. Same thing for time. Yes you wont get all but will find out when most will be able to make it. Takes a little coordination from the others but doable if people want to participate.

free for all Gurubashi f2ps and 24s would be alot more fun....all factions fighting each other,mass slautgher,every man for himself, good idea


and the GY is close by so you can respawn and jump into the fray....AGAIN

You could have two massive groups in one area and the goal would be to land a kill on the others FC/Tanks. Each team could have several tanks, I think itd be fun. You could do a lot of creative things.
 
I like the idea but if this is supposed to be 20 THROUGH 24 I think you should try to add some other element into it other then purely killing each other mindlessly. I think it should definitely be in a lv 25-30+ zone so we would have to fight pve mobs if they daze or attack us and give us an extra factor to deal with.

Was thinking maybe like a capture the flag kind of thing? Ex. One/two/however many UNFLAGGED people in a certain box like area then the FLAGGED person comes in to try and rescue them. Like a horde druid stealthing through w/e map you choose and getting to the "base" then once there he would need to get the unflagged friend across. If the druid gets caught and killed by an ally person then one the ally person /point at the person the druid tried saving the person would then have to mount up and return to the base. The savee couldn't leave the druids side or run off themrself and can't help in any combat. If a horde comes by and /point at the savee BEFORE the ally gets the chance to them the savee would then be "linke" to that horde and would follow him. Of course you can't /point at an escaped savee until the saver is dead.

This is just a newer/better version of what me and 5 friends of mine did back in bc in ashenvale. We played naked capture the flag while flagged and couldnt mount while a lv 70 person of the opposite faction tried to find us and kill us then send us back to the start. First to get from one side to the other won..

This is just something I thought of :) I like the idea of this world event but tbh if it's just random fighting in barrens when it'll be 1 20 per 10 24s I as well as alot of other trials won't be interested.. Add some kind of objective or some kind of twist other then just fighting then gy farming :) Gl with plannin
 
This sounds pretty cool. I will definitely attend and somewhere in spring break sounds good. My 24 is Edwaardo in sanctuary btw haven't put it in my signiture yet.
 
With this realm merging using realID technique, is it possible to play wargames this way?

if not I would suggest gurubashi, 2 teams of 10 could both drop in for 10man arena :p
 
I see a lot of great Ideas on here, it really opens the door as to what we can do with this.. I especially like your Idea, BB. Having a "Main Tank" on both sides, as the main kill target to determine a winner / loser. Will really add an extra element in the entire thing..

@Sydney, I'll get with you as soon as I can, and can't wait to hear what it is. I would prefer it to stay off the forums to prevent haters from making DKs and trying to crash, so an Isolated spot (Not the Barrens or Gurubashi) would definitely be ideal.

As far as Time/Date. From what I noticed as far as the people whom I constantly play with/against. Peak hours are anywhere from 6PM EST all the way through the night as far as 4AM EST. That really opens up a huge window and gives us a nice buffer as to trying to organize the groups, get to the location, and just have some good old fashion fun!

I'll personally volunteer myself to "Lead" the Alliance team. As far as getting the group set up, helping F2ps join, and organizing a "battle plan" However I'll need all the help I can get!
Obviously with that being said a Horde side player should step up and do the same.

As I said, the best server for this is probably Alexstrasza seeing that there is an abundant of Horde and Alliance there..

Let me know if anyone has further Ideas as far as what we can do. I have a very solid Idea as to the time, but have yet to come up with a date..

Keep the Ideas rolling guys, the theory-crafting is only half the fun :D
 
This sounds like a wicked idea! Kind of happened to my the other day when I was questing. I saw two people fighting 1 priest that was question and I jumped right in. They kept coming back and we'd win some and lose some but it was tons of fun. There was no /spit /anything rude it was always just pvp and when we lost we'd clap to them and same back to us :p

I'll be making a horde for this though so I can play against you. Looking forward to versing some "Sponsored named" people.
