Gold cap reached...and now?

Hi all, i am new of the forum, tried to find something about my topic in the previous ones but i didnt find any...

The question is fairly easy, when you reach the gold cap, how better to spend money without wasting it?

At the moment i am farming revered faction reputation to buy 16 space bags at the quartemaster (8,50 with discount), then exalted to buy mounts (2/3 gold ca.), then some funny gadget and companions to enjoy roleplaying but after this point... what to do with extra gold? How are you going to spend them?

Thanx a lot!

I think there was mention of people blowing excess gold on Eternium Thread because it has good resale value...or something along those lines.

Correct, but only advised if you are exhalted with the faction you are buying it from...

Basically, when you hit the gold cap, buy something you need, even if it is just for the moment (Huge Brown Sack) or buy something you want (several companions are sold for 10g in Netherstorm) or buy something that will freeze assets and stack well (Eternium Thread or Walnut Stock) but only in amounts that ease you off the top of your gold cap, because liquidating those assets again will only give you a 25% return (not including reputation adjustments). Never fully freeze your assets, or you will find yourself with no "cab fare" for the flight points.

even if you're not exalted...you just loose less if aren't. if you're not exalted with any faction yet, don't just sit there at the gold cap. once you hit exalted with a faction, make sure you stick to their vendors when buying.

Well I suppose that since I'm horde side I have a different viewpoint. But I cba to spend that time and money just to get globaled by 7 hunter 2 pally 1 rogue teams anyway.

200 HP is a waste of time?

its 50 HP if you compare it to rumsey rum.

you just buy it without spending time.

yeah, if you're alliance and can just fly over to halaa and get it...if you're horde, you spend 30 minutes killing guards and hoping some jerkoff highlevel alliance doesn't decide to just park himself in halaa until the guards respawn. btw, this is the best use for an alt I've found. I just park him in Nagrand and use him to check and see who controls Halaa. If its Horde (which has happened all of 1 time since I've been checking), I hearth and fly over to buy some. Using the alt is faster than going on my main, even hearthed to Shat.

There is no better way to use your gold then i just wrote down.

I suppose if you have all your mounts, pets, bags, etc you might be right...but going to all the work to capture Halaa is total NOT worth it imo (which again is really a Horde issue, at least on my server)...unless you're going after AGM and on a server where you might actually end up fighting someone in your level range for it.

Are they cute pets?

There's a cat and as far as I know a moth a dragonhawk hatchling a bird snake and a cock roach

For Alliance there's is the fluffy bunny from Amberstill Ranch, and you can buy the special chicken feed from Farmer Olsen in Westfall (you /chicken at the various chicken in the game, after a variable crapload of /chicken spams the Chicken will want to be fed by the special feed - do it and you have your chicken).

There are more Vendor pets from more remote places (a vendor in Netherstorm, the Darkmoon Faire Tree Frog, and perhaps the old Thousand Needles rocketway chicken vendor is till in the game) but those are pretty much the simplest ones.

I didn't read all of those, but as far as I know for Mr Grubbs there's a lvl req. You need to get a buff from Fionas Caravan to get the bag it drops out of to show up. I haven't kept up with it though since I got it on my 85 hunter while leveling through there a good while back.

ah. thanks...but i just put the list up for the vendored stuff since that's the thread topic.
