Selling F2P Accounts?

    • I noticed the forums allow selling of accounts and was wondering what you guys think of F2P account sales?



    If I made a fresh account and level a toon to 20, got all BiS, a couple pets and, say one BoA... Then maybe sell it for like, not a lot but something.



    It may not work out because let's say you spend 5 hours setting up a new toon and gearing it, etc... If you sold it for $50 that would only be $10/hr and I'm not sure the demand would allow even that much.



    This is just one of those thoughts that came to me while eating a Hot Pocket. There's an 80% chance it is rediculous. That is all.
     
    They wouldn't cost so much I think (10-20 dollars), depends of the gear. If you have full heirloom, best gear and many achievement points then yes. If someone is selling a horde f2p with decent gear I would maybe buy it.



    I think swapping accs would work though =)

    problem is its an EU account, is it not?



    if not, i'd say it'd snag you around 100 dollars maybe a little more (at least thats what i'd be willing to pay)

    Well I was thinking of a 'base package' which would consist of something like this:



    Level 20 Character

    Max Gold

    BiS Items (Minus LFH/AGM)

    PvP Trinket

    All Main Faction Tabards

    Two 16 Slot Bags

    10 Companions

    100 Skinning

    100 Leatherworking



    ...and then maybe a few extra perks if enough time.

    i dont know how everyone else feels, but i could care less about pets

    Being as how you can buy 85s with 40 days game time for about 90-100 bucks, um I don't see why someone would spend even close to anything for a f2p. But looking at how some people are too lazy to even run a few dungeons, maybe there is a market for it. Just seems if you are f2p you are wanting to play for free, not paying anything.
     
    Dang didn't realize there was such heavy interest in buying F2P accounts! I might just have to make some for sale.

    I could see the point of paying for a character with grandfathered gear , old PvP title or other stuff that has been removed from the game in the name of 'progress' but otherwise...not really. Then again, to me a large part of the charm lies in the twinking process itself so having somebody else have done it makes the whole thing rather meaningless.



    BTW: a bit odd that selling accounts etc. is okay by the CoC.
