The real reason why F2P Feral Druids kinda blow

Also you should try not to open with dots. Yes they are nice but you might aswell stealth, open mangle rake mangle fb then run while putting up dots.

don't really agree with this for either casters or melee...casters can, well, cast so you're just giving them a couple free shots while you scamper away. opening with a DoT on melee gives you a free cast or two before you're in melee range of each other.

...not to mention it was in gurubashi. where am i going to run to? out the door and down the road? the goal is to open the chest, killing the opponent is a side-effect.

Solvegero I jsut said that cuz of your use of dots. Obviously if its a caster dont run away, that is literraly self explanatory. Now for melee classes....only real threats are paladin. Warrios sure you can dot if before charge. Rogues you probably should dots to prevent stealth. However dots shouldnt be used as a way to rank up dmg when you could be up close mangling/raking

playstyle preference imo. Mangling/Raking alone isn't enough for me to kill most melee (in my experience anyway). If i do wait to Ferocious Bite until I'm back up towards 100 energy, the DoTs would have ran their course and put me in that much better a position to kill him in the 2nd series.

truely geared 10s will always beat a 20 F2P. its stat scaling.

MANY times i have beaten lvl35s in full blues and BoAs in duel over and over until they cried, pulled hair out, and logged off saying they were going to /quit wow.

don't feel too bad.

The way I like to play in something like a guru 1v1 is:

-Blow my energy bar from stealth.

-Pop out and kite because of infected wounds rejuv and thorns myself if they are close, or save the thorns until before i shift back to cat and maybe regrowth myself if i have distance.

-In between the rejuv and regrowth I will keep them in combat with dots, assuming rogue/warrior because the only way I will kill a paladin is a crit 5pt bite, then possibly get a restealth.

-At this point I have another full energy bar to blow (due to furor) with probably 3 or 4 combo points.

-I would open with rake unless they are getting low already because mangle will still be up and immediately FB and with some luck that's a kill, if not there's a rake up and I can either kite again or mangle spam

If its a paladin I'm gonna pool energy and hope for the first bite to crit, otherwise its a loss. IF its a prot pally you're better off using early thorns and getting them to hurt themselves enough to go for a flash of light. Prot has so much mitigation it will probably be a little late and they will be low, if they keep themselves topped you are prob gonna die. Being a Tauren on original shft I will warstomp this heal by anticipating when it will come. That will be your last chance.

The hoj must be trinketed immediately. If you don't burst them down before the hoj comes off cooldown, you'll die in the second one every time.

yeah this is around my strategy for most battles. With the upcoming talent changes though ferals are basically getting either a dash that removes roots/snares or a vanish. Both of these wont be to game changing but it definetly means more utility.

that middle talent at 15, although on a 3 min cool down is killer, in current game terms, it's a cloak of shadows, vanish, blink, auto shift into cat, and 10 sec stealth all on one key, that will be a killer escape no matters what spec druid you roll

i can't wait to be playing AB to see a druid doing this ability right off the cliff at LM.

lol i like the other talent to 70% speed boost that removes all snares and roots. Kinda of like a dash/trinket idk if CDs are linked but it could mean Double agms if u can get them. Also a question. Would it be worth it to stack crit on ferals? Say like Cobrahm's Boots instead of Standard Issue Prisoner Shoes?
