20s behavior in dungeons

This may get deleted or locked but needs to be said. If you zone into a dungeon, finish it. It’s not like these BC dungeons take any time, but you leaving creates all sorts of headaches for the people you abandon. I get it. We’re all farming. We all have goals. Just stop being selfish and show some basic human decency. I’ve seen multiple toons from very popular guilds on these forums exhibiting this behavior.

Maybe I’m in the minority and I’m the only one that thinks this is an issue.

If i pay a monthly fee for a game where i choose to utilize the time i have to play ill do it in the most efficient way possible. That doesnt mean running to the last boss when i only need the first one. Especially when an item may take 50 plus drops to farm. Twinking doesnt care about your feelings bud. And neither do those drop rates.

Dude, this isn't a 20's thing, nor a now thing. Mamaries of the Runecarver had this going on at current xpack levels since launch, and people have been doing this for ages, anyway. Pics or it never happened.

I'll stop leaving dungeons early when I stop getting kicked for pulling "too fast".

That right there, is answer enough to close this thread.
Spot on.

Maybe I’m old fashioned……
But I’m all for starting and finishing a dungeon no matter how much of a nuisance.
It happens very frequently that people leave, but I just put on my big boy pants and continue even if only 2 people left.
When it gets down to just me, then I’ll quit unless I need that next boss.
I do feel that dungeons used to be a mateship thing in days gone by, especially in the early part of WoW, but that no longer seems to be the case. Everyone is out to get what they want and that’s it.
I miss the days when people congratulated each other on gaining a level……
Not sure this is thread worthy, but that’s my 2 copper on the matter…..

Me me me me me me me me me!

F%& everybody else!

It's all about meeeeeeeee! MMMEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Oooh new emotes! Anyways, this is the type of behavior that is frowned upon in FF14. Personally though, if it's like the first or second boss, I don't mind solo'ing the dungeon just so I don't waste others' time. If it's the third or fourth, i just end up sticking it through the run anyway.

However, don't expect most others to play this way, this has been the way alot of WoW players have played even since vanilla (I've had multiple BRD runs where people would commonly leave mid-run without saying anything, forcing us to go back to capital cities to spam LFG in Trade chat) At the end of the day, it is kinda their sub and they get to play how they want, expecting decency in wow is sorta a high bar to set for yourself

me: willing to get all the bosses/mini bosses/rares from start to finish in order to be a fair sport while tanking.

also me: sees https://www.wowhead.com/item=9425/pendulum-of-doom#comments drops:

I see that I'm not alone but still in the minority. And that's ok. I mean, it's something that's always happened, but happens 10x-20x more with the 20's twinks. I actually get surprised when one finishes a run (I'm just assuming he needs the last boss). What I don't get is that this community is generally very helpful online. Lots of guides, willingness to share wisdom & help, etc. then exhibit toxic behavior in game. :thinkW:

Because let's be clear, you can try and justify it to yourself however you want, leaving a random dungeon mid-run intentionally IS toxic and shitty.

When you realize end game people are no better than the 20s you kind of see reality a bit different.

not the same covenant: kick
not the same mythic run: kick
not the same spec with everyone else playing said character: kick
not doing a certain amount of damage: kick
not enjoying the same level of fun: kick

I could provide more examples, but I need to head to work.

I only do last boss for the 4 people in the run that got me the loot I wanted. Im not boosting 4 people that stole my loot.
its not "your" loot until its in your bags when you win the roll. stop acting like you're somehow above the 4 people in the group.

and i agree with OP, just finish it... not like you're paying for the game anyway, and your time can't be that valuable if you spend it on playing 20s.

Those groups will get a replacement fast anyway. But the 4 that got the loot will be rewarded with me boosting them for the rest.

And ye, ive gotten kicked from dungeons for not letting the tank pull when im boosting them so no i dont have any sympathy for levelers that would have liked my boost but didnt get it because i didnt want to do more of the dungeon.
