Hey everyone, we decided to put together a 2s season to encourage friendly arena games amongst the 20s bracket. We chose 2s because it felt like it had the lowest barrier to entry and the more teams that sign up, the better! If you don’t have a ton of experience with arenas, don’t worry! The season will be based around your own W/L, so you’ll be mainly playing against players of your own skill level throughout the season. It’s a great way to learn more about arenas and get better at them over time with consistent, fun games against players that have experience similar to you. All are welcome, this is meant to be a fun experience for everyone involved - banter is fine, but no toxicity allowed!

Rules:
- Good sportsmanship and competitive games
- Restricted classes (No more than 1 per team):
- Arcane Mage
- Arms Warrior
- Discipline Priest
- Team compositions must be either DPS/DPS or Healer/DPS.
Bans:
- Items above ilvl 34
- Grandfathered items and abilities
- Viking Helm
- Destiny
- Sader Swapping
- All Hunter specs
Unique Class Modifiers (to provide OTPs with a viable spec to play):
- Druids can use weapons above ilvl34. This allows druids to compete without being severely underpowered. After testing, we found that druids are still on the low end of both damage and healing even with ilvl 49 weapons.

- Players will need the battletag of the opposing party leader, to start the arena wargame type “/wg [battletagID] [mapname]” if random, put a space after the opponents' tag and leave the mapname empty, example:
"/wg fatolympics nagrand" - Rounds will be seeded swiss tournament style, each team will face the closest teams in score each week. This means if you’re less experienced in arena, you’ll be playing against people similar in experience to you. No getting steamrolled by tough players!
- Each set is BEST out of 5 games / first to 3.
- Score is based on Set wins primarily and Game wins for tiebreaks.
- Winning a best of 5 set gives you a point.
- Losing a best of 5 with a score of 2 to 3 (or 1 to 3) will give you a better tiebreak than a team that loses a set 0 to 3.
- After each game, the losing team can either choose the next map or change comp, but not both.
- The first map of each set should be chosen randomly. If the losing team changes comp rather than picking a map, then the map selection should be random as well.
- All players can change team comp (characters and/or spec) after each best of 5 set, so long as it still follows the above rules.
To compete in this event:
- Sign up on xpoff by listing your team following the formatting rules list below. Once that’s complete, CLICK HERE to access the discord channel and place a team name in the “teams-and-players” channel. Please put in a team name with up to 3 players’ discordtag, example:

- Screenshots are required from the winning team after each game. Screenshots should be pasted into the “score-screenshots” channel. If you lose your team’s victory screenshot, your score for that game will not count.
- Anyone wanting to dispute gear should save a screenshot from the arena showing the character’s hit points and hp altering buffs. Teams found not following the rules will be banned from the server permanently.
- Streaming games is encouraged, either through discord or twitch, but not required.
