It is very difficult to find someone that can make these (a 300 enchanter that actually had the required rep before it was removed from the game), i have been trying for a week now, no luck.

But anyone can make a 48 trial and port to shattrath (bottom portal room of org) and do this quest

https://www.wowhead.com/quest=9993/olemba-seed-oil

you get 1 oil, which has 5 charges, you can mail the oil to your twink, log off, delete toon and roll a new trial.

so it's 15 min of work for 5 hours of PVP.

I might just do nothing but grinding oil for the weekend...

Enjoy the grind. (stats is 12 int + 6 crit on PTR, outside of BG obviously)

edit: if you come to my server (US server blackwing-lair) you can COD the oils to me at 1,200g each, this could be a good way for you to accumulate some starting fund to roll a twink on the horde side.

Sorry the offer above is no longer available, i found someone that can make it.

I can make them on Nesingwary/Vek'nilash/Nazgrel [Horde]. I was very close to 100% Enchanting Patterns from Vanilla > WorLK when I was actively trying to get everything.

A side question on oils (all of them, not just this one): what weapons can they be applied to? Caster weapons (staves / daggers / maces / other stuff with int) for sure, but anything else? Can you apply an oil to a Str axe or sword for that +crit part of the buff? Or to a bow?

Have you guys tried that the Brilliant Wizard Oil is actually usable? I have a recollection that it didn't work as I tried at some point?
It's a minimum iLvL thing, iLvL 24 to be exact. It also scales. If you're Level 10 with an iLvL 24 Arty then the Stats it gives is 2 Crit / Unk Int (tested on my 10 Hunter). At 15 it gives 8 Int / 4 Crit (vs 4 Int for Lesser Wizard Oil).

Level 10 / iLvL 21 = NOPE (iLvL 22 & 23 also NOPE)

Level 15 / iLvL 27 = YES (iLvL 24 also YES)

@accel I was able to apply it to a 2H Str Mace, Agi Daggers & Wand so probably. I'm almost positive Ranged (Hunters) is a no but didn't test. Well, I'll be goddamned. It actually works on a Bow.

Level 60 / iLvL 38 Bow = YES

Now to really blow your mind...
Level 45 Rogue / iLvL 44 Daggers = YES (doesn't over-wright Poison)

EDIT: Someone needs to test it on an iLvL 23 Weapon, there were none on my AH. @Kirise Tested and confirmed NOPE for iLvL 23.

EDIT2: We really need to credit @glancealot for this. That thing gives WAY more Int plus some Crit than Lesser Wizard Oil, at least scaled to low(er) Levels.

almost certain it's every weapon that can use the oils. and yeah you'd get the crit.

i got lucky someone was selling a couple on my dead server's ah for like nothing, not used them yet though. too bad for this quest it's horde only, but sweet way to stock up these.

Also if you're going to buy these you may as well stock up on some Greater Arcane Elixirs and some Elixir of Greater Firepower.

I haven't tested the Firepower elixirs but the tooltip reads spellpower, not fire spellpower like all the other iterations of this elixir (frost/shadow etc).

they don't persist through death though, so kind of pointless imo, please correct me if i am wrong.

COD offer in OP no longer valid, found someone that has pretty much every enchanting recipe available.

Correct. It does not persist through death. It does allow you to take Inscription & superior to flask but more expensive.

so the total benefit is

13 sp - 9 int (flask gives 9 on ptr) + whatever net gain inscription offers?

what's the net gain for having inscription?

scales to 12 in instanced pvp currently, not sure about PTR but no reason to expect that to change.

There's probably an argument to be made for casters who want to run inscription to stock up on SP elixirs and just refresh when they die. It might be worth like 2-3 more main stat. But that seems like a lot of work and bag space for minimal gain. But hey, we are twinks after all...

Inscription gives 4 int 3 versa in BGs. You can then use Greater Arcane Elixir for 14sp + 4 crit or Greater Firepower for 17sp. If you really want to you can then use a scroll of stamina for 4 stam.

So its 4 Int, 3 Versa, 4 crit & 14 spell power/17 spell power, 4 stam or 12 Intellect. The first option is much more expensive.

Edit: also there may be a guardian elixir effect from a cloak in stormstout brewery instead of the stam. I can't remember off the top of my head and I think wowhead is outdated.
