What gems should I get for a level 10 DK?

Started twinking today and getting overwhelmed with all the things I have to look up and can't find. The armory doesn't state the name of the gems either and that sucks.

You know.... i never even tried to make an allied DK since all my vet accounts dont qualify. Thanks!

See above for the gems, not too many options really. You can go crit and/or haste too but not sure that's advisable.

I was confused at first, didn't even think about starting level for other races hehe. I'll test both, I love trying out new things and making builds, I never realised how much you could do with twinks!

More than ever now! Have fun and check back often!

Normal races have to do the starting zone so getting out below 14 isnt really viable, never thought to check allied races.

Heavily advise against going full glass on a 10 (anything less than 1k hp kinda cringe.) Use either 2/2stam gems or a mix of glass and steady tals. I think 6 tals and the rest of your slots being glass gems is a happy enough balance. Can also rock a pit fighter(s) and less tals if you so please.

Obviously, since you're a DK, you have the option of going loltank mode. If you want to play blood and stack full talasites, go for it.

allied race DKs? cool...
i hate you guys!

So even just making one and deleting it is worth doing, IMO, cuz you get a bunch of decent weapon transmog from it.

I still leveled to 11 cuz I just cant deal with one attack ability forever. Barely cope at 1,1,1,1,1,1,1,2,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,2...

I'll see how 2xcrusader does for frost and probably delete it, lol. Had to delete another toon just to create it anyway.

You won't get too much of a damage boost by using strength gems. Strength users should have crusader, which carries all of your needed pewpew, so I would advise talasite stackin until it's nerfed, then str/stam.
My 20 dk has 4.4k hp, so I would assume 2-3k at 10 would be possible

2K at 10 is doable, but nowhere near 3K without lolStam stacking, then what's the point when you hit like a wet noodle.

Just running around questing I can see the lack of sufficient self-heal is gonna be an issue down the road... not so much for blood (which I didnt even try yet) but trying to solo as frost so you actually have AoE, it could be a thing.

edit- at 11... not sure it'll matter, tho.

I run at 2800hp and it’s a lot of fun being unkillable. I have a duplicate set I recently farmed up that I’m going to throw str/haste gems in more of the slots. Gotta build a backup set for if talasites get nerfed in the future.
As long as talasites are around, do not use all main stat/stam gems. Reasoning with strength for an example... every three you use would equal 6 strength and 6 stam. But, if you did 2x 3 strength gems and 1 steady talasite, you’d net positive an additional 4 armor.

With crusader being so strong, I could see even more benefit from using 2/2 gems instead of 3 str, for more haste or crit.

DK ideally need a lot of haste, right? 2/2 str & haste nets 4/4/6 plus the armor, seems a decent trade to me.

edit- which... you just said. lol. ;)

Thanks! Another question, are the artifact weapons best or is, for example, a hatebringer with gems and crusader better?
