BiS 5?

Crystalpall

the F2P PvEr
Hey!

I think 5s are vastly superior to 1s in Classic, so I'll be rolling one. I'm a little torn between a rogue and a warrior, leaning slightly towards a warrior.

Would this be BiS for a 5 warrior? I know some of that gear will come in future phases, and my faction will be Horde.

Race: Troll

Head: https://classic.wowhead.com/item=19972/lucky-fishing-hat + 100hp libram (or +8 str would be better?)
Neck: https://classic.wowhead.com/item=16009/voice-amplification-modulator
Shoulders: None
Back: 9 armor ones with res enchants appropriate to person I'm dueling or +3 agi if not a caster
Chest: https://classic.wowhead.com/item=3471/copper-chain-vest + 100hp enchant (or +4 all stats would be better?)
Bracer: Vendor ones + 9 Stamina or +9 Strength (I lean towards strength just because there's so much hp and stam everywhere.. or maybe Regeneration passive would benefit from Spirit?)
Gloves: Vendor ones + 15 Agility (think 15 agi > 7 str)
Belt: Vendor one
Legs: Unsure here. If Rites of Earthmother chain is doable from 3 to 5 before dinging 6, it would give +4 agility legs. Otherwise there are +1 stamina ones with 30 more armor. Again, +100 hp or +8 str, same as helmet.
Boots: https://classic.wowhead.com/item=19969/nat-pagles-extreme-anglin-boots and since it's highly unlikely I'll get multiples of those, I'm super unsure here. 8% speed? But I dont think I'll have any problems catching up to hunters or casters, so maybe +7 agility or +7 stamina?
Rings: None
Trinkets: 2x AGM

1h: https://classic.wowhead.com/item=4948/stinging-mace If I can complete the quest before 6
otherwise https://classic.wowhead.com/item=727/notched-shortsword (probably with 1 str?) enchanted with... what? Crusader? Fiery? Lifestealing? +15 Strength? Unholy?

Offhand: https://classic.wowhead.com/item=16768/furbolg-medicine-pouch if I get someone to boost me, otherwise vendor shield with +7 stamina (or maybe if someone adds a shield spike to my shield it would work? Idk)

2h: https://classic.wowhead.com/item=8178/training-sword with +4 strength and since it's pretty slow I'm 99% sure I'd slap Crusader on this.

As for weapons, I'd start with mainhand and Furbolg Pouch then swap to 2h once 100hp is down, I think that's a well known and executed strategy.

As you can see I'm often unsure about enchants. And are there any gear pieces I've missed? Please let me know!

I was going to say add the Festival Shoulders but there's no way you'd still be 5 after going to all those locations. One thing to keep in mind is that there is NO beneficial added Scaling to Levels 1-10 in Classic. I'm not certain if that was added in TBC or for WotLK, so any Level between 1 and 10 are essentially just a minor Stat increase for each new Level. The only real difference is access to a few more Abilities and Gear.

EDIT: I misread how many fires you have to visit, I thought it was ALL of them, not just 4.

And also I think Parry and 1 other skill... but why would „of blocking” shield be worth it?

every other twink at that level is gonna be a rogue. and blocking shield with spikes is gonna be by far your biggest damage dealer except maybe a lifestealing enchant.

I'm pretty set at staying 5. Going 9, might as well go 10, then might as well go 19.

5 is like 1, extremely low level, you lose the absolute shock status of level one?! but you gain so much from fishing (and maybe engineering) that I'm set on 5.

I'd really want these shoulders (even if they look shit imo) just for the enchants (16 stamina and 100 armor? o_O) but even after visiting all these locations the quest rewards 3300 xp so that's too much I think :(

But maybe I'll try! That would be definitely a better investment of xp than the legs quest chain, that is of course I can get the shoulders enchanted.
edit: I just checked and I can spend 4800 xp to get to level 5, then up to 2799 xp before level 6. So that's a total of 7599 xp to spend for Crossroads, maybe Razor Hill, Gurubashi Arena, some of STV to fish in, and Undercity to learn weapon skills, I think if I left Felwood alone and skipped Pouch as warrior (as if someone's gonna boost me anyways) I could maybe get summoned to these 4 places and finish the quest?

Also, still need help deciding on enchants in OP.

Without Hit Rating, you're going to have a rough time even taking down a LvL 10+. Granted it may take them forever to kill you but as Dueling will be the only thing you have access to on a 5, you will be limited. That said, I'd go for more HP/Survivability over damage output, considering how often those attacks are going to miss.

EDIT: If there were anything that I'd love to have added to Classic, it'd be the XP eliminator NPC's and Guild Banks.

I think you should really try for these shoulders. Try to get summoned to each specific location for the quest, same with felwood, and gurubashi etc. Maybe thatll help.

I love the fact that in Classic theres so much planning xp wise for these things.

If eliminators are in game, it will be so much better / easier / OP.. Making wise, farming gear wise etc.. So ye, that little wierd feel "what if, what if i step aside and ruin all that work, what if *insert any DING situation* ".. So yes, im fan of planing :D explore and making quests etc on character where i know he will be in higher bracket, but use that Intel on another, low lvl one.. So yes, +4agi legs already tested for lvl5.. Same as +3str mail legs from killing Hogger (ally only) what i tested for L9 pala.

Wrong & wrong.. Just sayin'

Remember u pick a HORDE..
And u cannot learn new weapon skills before L10 afaik..
=> all lvl1-9 twinks can use just already known weapons..

Also im wierdo and just prefer engi boots with minor speed

U can learn the weapon skills from respective weapon master. i have a lvl 1 twink troll rogue that can use swords, They normally only can use daggers :)

But im pretty sure some if weapon skills arent viable till L10
[doublepost=1571075718,1571075562][/doublepost]Also sweet sweet Hakkari gear is just from complete dungeon quest.. Im sure that helm, chest & ring cannot be in Un'Goro gorilas loot table

Yes and dual wield is 10 i believe
Depends on the Class, it's LvL 20 for Hunters/Warriors and from the Class Trainer not the Weapon Masters.

Hello guys, I'm gonna attempt being summoned to the fires locations soon so I don't have to wait until summer to start that twink :)

List of places I'll be summoned to:

Undercity - sword training
Crossroads - dueling spot
Booty Bay - learning fishing & turn-in for fishing quests Also does anyone know if they award xp? wowhead shows the LFH and Nat Boots quests giving 0 xp, but I just wanted to doublecheck

Somewhere in STV where I'd fish on sundays. Does anyone know a good spot where pools spawn but there aren't any monsters around?

And the locations of the 4 fires for shoulders. If that leaves me with 3300 xp to spare, then I'd be extremely happy!

If you want to fish for gear you're going to be really constrained if you don't explore a good portion of the coast. You'll also want escorts. 19s can pull over 200 tastyfish on a Sunday but if you only utilize a small part of the coast you'll be lucky to get 50. No XP from rare fish turnins. One of the better spots for lowbies on their own is along the East coast just south of the ruins where the elite giant patrols (just have to avoid him).

No xp from extravaganza. I remember the ZG islands being the only safe haven. Other spots required protection.

You can practically learn all weapon skills as a warrior.
Aside from polearms being unlocked at 20.
Fishing on Yojamba Isle is your best bet, won't have much competition and less likely chance for you to be ganked, best have the hearth set to Booty Bay though.
