The future of 29 Twinking

Greetings friends. Ill try to start this out as blunt as possible.

29 Battlegrounds queues times are extremely high and are not currently worth queuing as of right now.

Although, 29 Arena Queues DO pop. Everyday I have queued 29 arenas, I have gotten queues in anywhere from instant -> 15/20 minutes maximum. If the queue is any longer that is simply because people just aren't playing 29s right now which has to be expected sooner or later.

I know many of you now have 29s that will collect dust, but I don't want anyone to feel like they lost out on a potentially great experience in twinking. I plan to push Arena Wargames and organize more tournaments for the future of 29s. Instead of focusing so much on our Random Battleground queues.

The reason I believe queuing arenas in the 29 bracket will be better is because Arenas are not faction specific when it comes to finding players.

If there are 4 Player's in the queue you WILL get a game.

A couple reasons 29s have been dying for the uninformed, is because of the XPOFF / XPON Battleground queue changes. Aside from that, F2P Twinks still vs Levelers as Starter Editions Cap is level 20. I have no hate towards the 20s and Its good to see the bracket thriving.

I still hope to keep 29s alive though, so this is a message to those who have felt hopeless for the future of your 29 twink. Find an arena partner and queue up. No matter the time of day, if queues seem too long just try again later.

If you have any interest in the longevity of the 29s bracket, I would highly suggest taking this post with a grain of salt. Plants, specifically, a few of the other active 29s, and I tried to keep this bracket alive through wargames the week that brackets changed.

Here are a couple of reasons why this revival won't happen from a personal standpoint:

1) Axion is toxic
Axion subbed himself into just one wargame that I was around for (I've personally been in 10-15 since the changes to queues) where he complained about having to play while Plants was gone (mind you this was for one game while Plants ate plants).

2) Axion doesn't know the 29s community in a meaningful way to get them to participate in events and doesn't pay winners
Axion has also held a poorly advertised tournament that despite having an entry in, did not pay a winner nor log on during the start time to claim it wasn't going to happen. Axion also supposedly received a donation for tournament winnings, hope that homie got his shit back

3) Axion waited until the bracket died to make a post like this
Axion participated in zero conversations about how to keep people playing 29s nor crowd sourced information like other players about how to keep the bracket alive.

4) Axion lies about the health of the bracket
Glad to see you aren't lying about the battleground queues anymore by the way. This stuff you said on Sunday wasn't cool. 4 or 5 days ago as of this post. Must have been a lot that happened since then.

Here's the response to this thread:

1) 29s isn't the bracket for Arena
This bracket was never centered around intricate content for small skirmishes. There aren't enough spells to make for meaningful interactions between very few players nor is there a working ladder for people who care.

2) Arenas are a side quest for people waiting for BGs.
Aside from you, no one main plays Arenas at this bracket. If you had engaged in some of the content for 29s outside of the stuff that twinks at 29 don't do, you'd be aware of this. The only reason I ever ended up in arenas is because I was additionally queueing it next to the BGs I wanted to play and I know for a fact that's how other players ended up there too. Additionally the tracker on xpoff for your arena wins/losses isn't working which means there is literally zero incentive to play them.

3) 29s isn't large enough to keep consistent arena queues going
Your analysis that says a thriving arena scene can be built by just four people is just bullshit. No one in their right mind will be interested in queueing into the same 2 people on the same 2 specs every game. But hey, let's grant that they are interested in boring content like that, LOL they can just do wargames and skip the shitty arenas that involve 1 banging levelers.

4) The format died because of changes to queues
This is marginally true. Other brackets have maintained longevity due to SEVERE work being put in by multiple members of their community to get people logged on. 59s wasn't the hot community to be a part of until people stepped the fuck up and said we're going to provide people a schedule and something to look forward to on their offtime. Sitting offline on discord or just declining to put some content together when you have players online, is a larger reason as to why people aren't playing 29s.

5) How disrespectful to be honest
I've already mentioned the 59s group and the people who are actively working to keep their brackets alive. A lot of work goes into keeping people logging on every night and the idea that it's just as easy as getting 4 people to log in for arenas queues is fucked up.

I don't see why those of us who just do BGs to kill time should have to go through all that trouble just to get a BG. I say do whatever it takes to get into a BG. Whether it's XPOFF or XPON.

Messed up part is Goesid is right and there's so little few of us that actually care about this bracket it's kinda pointless. Do I want to see this bracket die....no. could have been there a counter measures taken to pervented this yes but we didnt have any warning. Either blood transfusion with the dying horse and end up killing yourself for a lost cause or shoot the horse put it out of its misery. I say shelf the 29s and wait to see blizzard does in 8.2 because there's alot of complaints about que times

BTW 29 is dead cause of this fucking community fucking bad ppl who cares about doing 100 bg against fucking levelers and f2p we have now the possibility to do full twink bg and organize a q time and get a full twink bg experience. But ppl are bad and just wanna farm gy , that's the bad part of twinkling w/e now we are free from those shitty players and this bad behavior.il' be glad if there are 29 events pvp even pve like arena rbg wg or even pve. Add you tonight when i get home! And what youre saying is true. There is a lot of negative talk towards 29s and many seem to want to afk farm the GY. When the patch droped ques were pretty quick amd we did get twink vs twink games. Honestly some of the funnest games i played in BFA.

You talk about bad 29s when you literally crutch on every consum in the game on a 29 fury warr to be able to accomplish anything

I agree. Not that it was needed for any rational thinker.
1% of 29s OG were actually OG 29s. Half of that 1% were 24s who bought 29 accounts as soon as 20's were merged in 20-29 (instead of 20-24). The rest were just 24s leveling to 29 and rerolling. Anyone who genuinely believed 29s popped on their own had serious brain damage. (or 24s popping on their own lmao)
