We Missed A Great Opportunity...

I didn't honestly believe it was you (fanboys, fake accounts, etc etc) but from your reply and someone mentioning you said something on steam I guess I should address your points. I'm on my phone atm due to computer being broken atm..

1. Don't you both get hundreds of thousands of gold just by going into SW? I think you would have enough to twink in every bracket on each faction haha

2. I haven't played 39s but what you say is alot of what I hear about it. Few more spells, slightly better balanced and more gear options. Definitely better people to ask about that bracket.

3. I think the reasoning is honestly different for each person. You'll find alot of people who are bad at endgame and twink to feel good. You'll find alot of people who don't want to level to endgame so they stop sooner to focus on pvp.

I'm unsure if you know of it or were into twinking at the time but imo one of the best times for twinking was cata F2P/starter. It had the most helpful content, most helpful people and some of the most unique playing experiences. I started as a lv 20 F2P but became a veteran(subbed once but stopped paying and remained lv 20). For me it wasn't to slaughter lvers it was to have those thrilling last minute wins/losses of a 20 min close wsg. I HATE xp on being merged with xp off queues but that is because my bracket always had the fastest queues anyways. I can understand 19s or 39s or others wanting xp on/off merged to increase the 30+ minute queue times.

4. BIS.. well I'm full legion gear but I can understand the frustration completely. I actually got frustrated this week too because of it! Found myself farming the purple rings even though they aren't bis from the HH just because I wanted epics.. this is something I'm sure a few people from each bracket can do. I honestly don't know what BIS even is anymore. There are many things this forum is lacking on or needs to be updated so thanks for pointing one of them out so we can fix.

5. I hate to sound cliquish but if you look at someones profile and they have under 100 posts and/or have been here for less than 6 months it might be good to take it with a grain of salt... At the same time I've been here for over 5 years and I'll still find myself going off on people every now and then. So basically... majority of the people here can be assholes at times but can also be extremely helpful at times.

Tl;dr: Thanks for replying and even putting some thought into it. Don't put too much emphasis on "mains" if judging people on here. My main is lv 104 with like 3 days played compared to my lv 20 with 300+ days. Thank you and asm for bringing attention to a dying breed of WoW even if for a short time. Tell like 5,000 of your "fans" to come play 20-29s! That's only like 10% right? I'm sure 39s can give up 10% ^.^

Getting gold thrown at us is something he can do easily, it doesn't really work in my case because the stream tends to dislike me for the shit I talk when doing the show. I will just buy a WoW token or two and see what kind of gear I can get from that. Seems to me that leveling up professions is the part that costs the most, unless you're trying to get a fucking Shadowfang or some shit.

I've never been one to think that people make twinks because they fucking suck dick at end game. That could be a reason, but not everyone is the same. Some people may like the competitiveness if you face other twinks, people like myself just enjoy pwning n00bs, and others may just enjoy the gearing up process. I don't typically roast armories. I don't care that much. That's Asmon's thing.

For me, xp-off having it's own bracket and wait time killed it. I was waiting too long to get a fucking game, and I didn't wanna join the organized PvP the twinking community had going. I remember the threads on the WoW forums, people trying to get games going and they were specifying what day to do it on, etc. Just not my thing, I wanna queue up for it and put on some music from the mid 2000s and have fun.

I can ask him about how he feels about doing a 29 eventually. But that shit is later on down the road.

I enjoy twinking more for the gearing up process. It's nice having a definite end in sight, without worrying about slot machine titanforged socket leech crap.

I just farm the mats myself for free tbh. Need something to do in between ques anyway and its pretty easy to farm everything to lvl eng from 0-300 in one sitting with warmode on. alchemy might b a bit more annoying considering everyone takes it while lvling because of the massive xp some herbs give I know I do.

I don't play endgame anymore ( not since mop) because there is too many flashy spell effects now even on lowest settings. Can't play sub anymore because shadow strikes animation makes me want to hurt myself irl.

@Mcconnell 39 twink community is easy to join to ask questions like what is bis for whatever slot/class/spec. I get asmon prolly won't join that community himself, but if you ever have questions yourself mcconnell or want to give those 39's a place to get answers a simple redirect to the 39 twink community page located here:
https://xpoff.com/threads/39-xpoff-wow-community.79389/

or

going to a thread that has some tier lists with armories on them located here:
https://xpoff.com/threads/39-class-tier-list.80551/

lots of the vets there answer questions all day and even help with gear runs and instance runs etc.

Will do. I appreciate the outreach.

Have you been twinking for a bit, or just done some research? I don't really get a particular "newbie" vibe from you.

In terms of brackets, it pretty much comes down to a few things. 19's is probably the most established on US at least (has tournaments etc. incl. the Twink Cup), and a wargaming scene.

Other brackets offer more gearing options, spec viability and class diversity. Personally, I like each of the niche aspects that every bracket brings. I like the power gap in characters from playing GF'd 19's, and the playstyle it enforces (no mounts etc.), but at the same time I appreciate brackets like 60's, because it adds a lot of class variety to the meta as well as gearing options etc. Having a more complete set of spells opens up to a lot more mechanical outplay, which is something I enjoy as well.

Thanks. I've gone over both of those threads before and had a look at the enchants. I've been throwing the class tier list around to people in Twink Sparkles so hope it helped them a bit.

Yeah, I've been twinking as long as I've been playing the game. One of my old shamans still has a talbar mantle and sergeant title since that was the highest rank you could get at 19 back in the day. It's kind of hazy now but I remember spending a cockload of time just spamming BGs. I really enjoyed the fact that you could see and recognize other twinks from your realm before cross-realm BGs. Even after that, sometimes you'd recognize people from your Battlegroup. Doesn't seem to be the case nowadays.

I did make a 19 twink rogue recently on Horde Tichondrius. Fiddle-farted around on that for a bit, seemed kinda fun. Been itching to try out a hunter. I remember they were the bane of everyone back in the day cause of multishot. I'll have to see how it is now. I prefer higher brackets than 19 because it just feels like you're relying too heavily on things not class-related. Bombs, buffs, whatever.

Not my say mon, there’s plenty of people out there with far more scarier with words than little old me. Besides that, I can’t really control over everyone’s actions on this site.

I think they said something about going to the 59s next, then the 19s after the stream was over.

Oh lawd!! They haven’t seen lowbie toxicity until they have stuck their toes in the pond that is 10-19 bracket.

love the people trying to defend their mains/lack of mains and saying it's not a good judge of skill level, nobody and i mean nobody at 39 is good at the game dont kid yourselves

Very few people on this website(or any website for that matter) are “good” at this game my friend, no matter the bracket.
Being “good” at video games really only takes practice, lots of it. Practice playing video games(or doing anything) takes time. Time that the overwhelming majority of people simply don’t have.
Being “good” at video games really isn’t something to be boasting about. It simply means you have spent an untold amount of time playing them.

You still see and recognize people regularly in the lower brackets. 19, 20-29 & 39. More so the 19 and 20-29.
Lots of 20’s and 29’s. 20’s because of the never ending Trials(FTP) even subscribers play level 20’s as well. It may be the most populated of the brackets. But, the Trials don’t have access to all of the enchants. This can make a huge difference. Add in the 9 level difference between 20 and 29 too.
All I play are healers. As a comparison, my 29’s can get about 35%-40% more spellpower than my 20’s.

There was a way to get master sergeant if you got enough honour to get it straight from grunt

29 will probably be my next one, curious as to what's faceroll there.

Working on it.

I don't remember seeing any master sergeants at 19. Maybe that happened before I started playing. My 19 rogue ended vanilla with like 33k HKs and I felt like I played a shitload so, idk.

If you got sergeant it was too late, you had to skip it.
Try and get involved in plebmades for structured games that develop a meta and give actual competetive games.

I need to grab a month US gametime and update my us toon ffs

That's cool. Wish I'd done that.

Idk if I'm too interested in looking into structured games. If I was on and someone was like yo let's go, maybe I'd join but like I said before, I just wanna steamroll kids and listen to music.

Havent played US in a while, but thats pretty much how it goes down, someone forms and you play.

Games can be close

Obviouslly we made twinks to steamroll, but both aspects are fun in my opinion. Nice to have the option since legion, more so since gear scaling is gone with BFA for the steamroll

I've always been partial to 39s specifically, maybe because of nostalgia, but also I feel it hits the sweet spot between doing more with less abilities, but still being able to 3-4 shot someone and staying fun.

I play in most of the midbrackets, and find this to be true for 39s -- they're in a great spot right now.

My problem with twinking so far is that a lot of the armories provided in the threads on this website are either outdated, or contain a majority of GF'd fucking Legion invasion gear. I can see how there might be a little value in showing an armory like that, but for the majority of people, it's not. I get whispered all the time now about bis gear that, what do I spec this, and I point them to armory threads and they come back like yo, how do I get this felforged shit and I just tell them they're fucked. So more and better updated armories would help me rope more people into twinking.

This is an ongoing concern, in part because 39s have more gear to choose from in this expansion than any previous time in the history of the game. @Sun (and everyone), would you be interested in a 39 BiS gear list similar to https://xpoff.com/threads/39-legion-gear-prep-guide.67483/ and if so, would you all be willing to help me by getting gear information to me? I'll format it to make it as readable as possible, and I'll focus on both BiS and secondary gear options for the really hard-to-get items. We can worry about professions and consumables later.

What say you, 39s?

I'd also be down to ask people in the guild Asmon and I made about what they've found to be really good so far, if you need any info feel free to shoot me a DM. Would like to help. I mean, you guys probably have things mapped out already but it couldn't hurt to have more people to pool information from.

I welcome any and all help, especially if it will invest more players into the 39 community. We never know when a discovery can make an impact, like when @Haaveilija from 59s found Gwenyth's Wristguards and Gwenyth's Bracers, which ended up on the BiS list for 39s and 49s as well.

Give it 2 months-ish and I'll throw up 1k usd towards a 39 arenas tourney. U can quote me on that. Just need to close on this house first bois

Ne1 in rhode island feel free to come be a squatter, it will be 1st official tinkinfoe house.
