EU+US LvL 1 Gearing

Smashingbaby

Grandfathered
I have never twinned anything lower than 10, so I'm gonna need some guidance, I want a level 1 but I really have no clue wtf kind of gear you can get on them. I know about the goblin starter trick since I was one of the first to do it, but what other gear can you use?! :)

Generally most of your gear will come from starter zone vendor items. ilvl 5 stuff. Assign you aren't a gob.

Then depending on which armor proficiency you have there are a few variants (ie squealers belt and herbalist gloves for leather, or battle worn gloves for clothies).

Level 1s are picking up it seems. Pretty neat!

Only yesterday I was thinking of ending my sub for the summer. Lvl 1 activity may keep me around, would love to give it a try.

Our Fun Ones is up to nearly 8 active members. Was 9 before someone left due to having to get on voice. Which I want to add, is very much needed for calling swaps and whatnot. But next week we are tackling a lvl 55 eliete who has an abnormally large health pool of 22k. (Same as a level 90 mob non eliete). If you need any assistance on how to gear let me know. We could really use another hunter for the fun!

Never been a fan of hunters, what else is viable

I've been wanting to make a lvl 1 lately as well, would like to know what classes are viable. If you'd be willing to help, I'll roll a toon in your guild.

Well I mean, I finally realized that Arms warrior is rather boring at 101, and all I was doing was iPvP, anyways. So I decided I might as well. I'm not exactly sure what all I can do different with my character at that level. I talked to Delindsay and he gave me a few pointers, but he said you would know more.

Me know stuff XD I had a 109 and it was decent but then took it to 110 because I didn't have one but basically you're probably going to be insanely op because ur a warrior all you need now is to make sure you know how to play warrior and you will rekt everyone

I feel like I'm pretty good at Arms in general, however I could be wrong. Perhaps I am actually absolute shit and don't even realize it. xd

Have been long time since i have done anything level 1 oriented and correct me if im wrong but most viable classes are Rogue and Hunter.

Edit: Also if you are going Horde you want to make a Goblin for gear. :)

From our most recent testing:

Hunter = Most Viable DPS & less likely to die thanks to Kiting
Hasted Rogue/Warrior = Second in Terms of DPS
Pally or Warrior (Enchanted) Healer = Promising, but relatively untested in a RAID setting.
Druid = Meh' Moonfire Spam!

Mage/Priest/Warlock/Monk/Shaman = Cant hit shit above lvl 19. Though Mage is probably good for PvP (Slow Debuff).

Hope this helps. Come join Stormrage <Fun Ones> if you do decide to roll something. We would like to start 10 manning some stuff in the near future.

Pretty hilarious that you're putting warrior on the same tier as rogues

I really just didn't want to type a another line that says 3rd in terms of DPS.
I know Rogues are a bit better as they have several advantages (Thistle Tea & Dual Eleforce to name a couple) but Warriors atm are also one of the more viable classes. In fact, in our recent 5 man RAID against a Lvl 50 Elite, our groups Warrior out-dps'd both Rogues. In PvP its really just a matter of How Well the class is Geared and Played, that determines which is better.

My comment is really to just state that Warriors are ONE of the SECOND most viable classes. :)

However we are moving into content that it's just one shots you. Why not pick the class that does three times higher DPS

Level ones have changed quite a bit now and there is no 2-3k healthpool and tons of Dodge. If your not at range, doing dps while running away, your useless. Hunters literally are only viable class right now. It's sad to say but it's the reason we only roll hunts because everyone is at range. We will be doing some BC stuff tomorrow. If we happened to bring a rogue or warrior, they would die almost immediately.

Your statement is only true for Above 30 Elite PvE situations. Not everyone will create a LvL 1 twink for that reason though as some like to PvP other low lvl's (in some cases 20+ lvls) and some like to take on Rares/Elites ONLY in the 20 - 40 Lvl Range (thus able to include other classes such as Rogues, Warriors and Pallys). We had 2 rogues and a Warrior with us recently when we downed the 50 elite in SoS (And they did well).

Just because Hunters are the only class that can currently hit anything above lvl 30 does not mean that they will be the most viable for everyone's goals/wants when joining or playing in the LvL 1 bracket. There is an array of different fun things we can do to enjoy our twinks including Dueling, FFA World Arena Battles, Rare RP'd PvE Raids (See BooBoo' Idea Here), Acheivements & Rep Grinding, wPvP, Guild Tournaments, hell we could even have Foot Races across Azeroth.

I personally enjoy playing a lvl 1 hunt but, constantly stating to people that all they can play is hunters when they want to join the lvl 1 twinking bracket might be deterring them from joining at all.

It is also worth noting that Hunters are the most simple of classes, they have a single strategy at lvl 1 - "Run and Shoot". It is far more fun to play a class or mixed party that requires some sort of methodical Strategy or implied luck to defeat enemies that would normally feel unbeatable.

Maybe its just me, but I find many other classes "Viable" for Lvl 1 twinking
