So I picked up this quest on my level 20 alliance hunter: https://www.wowhead.com/quest=57730/zinfizzlexs-portable-shredder-unit
It was shared at the start of one game, and I finally managed to turn it in and get the https://www.wowhead.com/item=17410/zinfizzlexs-portable-shredder-unit.
Immediately after turning in the quest I decided to give it a whirl. What I discovered is that the portable shredder had over 1M hit points, a melee ability (keybind 2) that hits for ~10k on a 10s cooldown and a melee swing (auto attack) that hits for ~ 3k. The other abilities (1 and 3) did not seem to work for me. Even better you can attack both NPCs and other players! I was credited with several honor kills and killing blows while operating the shredder. It took nearly half the team to finally take down the shredder while I was in the opposing faction's base (ran all the way across the map), and made for a great distraction.
I completed this quest as Alliance, but it does seem there is a horde version: https://www.wowhead.com/quest=57731/zinfizzlexs-portable-shredder-unit .. I have not been able to pick it up yet for my horde hunter, and said I was not eligible for sharing the other quest.
I was really surprised this worked in PvP. After using shredder it has a 1hr cooldown. I wonder if it would work in other battlegrounds or if it's even useful when not scaled to 60?
