Your opinion on no rating in WOD

Whats your opinion on there just being skirmishes available for us? I personally think its good because we can keep queuing with friends that aren't the best and still enjoy 70 but on the other hand we have nothing to kinda be proud of and show off

not good. unfortunately most of this bracket is populated by ppl wanting to get their 2.2k achives easily, and when they can't they'll probably go die at endgame leaving this bracket crippled, size wise at least
 
Nope 70 rating does mean nothing xD people use the same achieve for 90 which is dumb but still, its nearly everyones "goal to get 2.2" at 70 cause its easier than 90, but yeah i agree alot of people will stop playing 70 once it does come out so rating does mean something to people, that are 2.5+
 
Keeping both rated and skirmish arenas would be ideal. Why are they getting rid of rated 70 arenas?
 
And because the 70 community is so small that wintrading is really easy, thus making achivements like Arena Master etc easily obtainable by cheating

Most people dont even know how to do that properly anymore, the last few proper wintraders quit in 5.1

I'm glad you understand why they took away ratings except for max level players.
 
I hope your all right, but I think you underestimate the power of Epeen that has been running most of this bracket for years. I understand that you, like myself, are playing because you like this bracket, but alot of people are simply playing this because it has pops and you can show off your rating.
 
Wargames will have a hidden mmr, if its not broken at 70 it'll still be somewhat competetive, not sure how much fun it will be queing alone and being matched into disc prot using skype though
 
I think it's good and bad both in different ways. It will make the bracket more chill but less competitive. Although the skirmish idea is fun to play around with classes you want to learn and chill with your friends but removing rating and mmr this will mean you will queue into anyone such as undergeared players.

Although nobody cares about rating anymore it would still be good to have a system which matches ilvl or something simililiar. Doubtful.

- On another note if 70 is decent in wod wargame tournaments could be a fun alternative. Or arranged queue times.

I asked Holinka about the randomness in Skirmishes and he personally responded by saying that there will be an mmr, just that it'll be hidden.
