Fuel prices are not "low" actually. They are about 50%-60% higher than they were at the beginning of the year, possibly more. Gasoline, for example, went from about $1.19/gal at the beginning of the year to $1.89/gal now. Some of the increase can be attributed to the "Summer" blend because I live in a tropical region of the US. Lower than they were eight years ago, yes. Lower than they were recently, no. It has gotten as high as $4.00/gallon though within the last eight years.
