Yet another rogue (Alliance) :P

Oki so I decided to make a 49 twink and ended up at a rogue, now I just need some suggestions. I am mainly looking to make "the best possible twink" and it need to be balanced as I am not on of those Ambush --> Vanish --> Ambush persons.

The World of Warcraft Armory



Wanted to get 3 points in Improved Eviscerate as I use Hemorrhage + Eviscerate, but could not take 3 points from Sinister Calling I thought.



Starting with gear:



Head:

Atm I got both Helm of Fire and Embrace of the Lycan, thinking Helm of Fire is best.



Neck:

Not 100% sure atm. Got Medal of Courage, but dunno if for example the WSG neck is better?



Shoulders:

Atm I am using Phytoskin Spaulders, but are these the best? (Also have Exceptional Stormshroud Shoulders somewhere)



Back:

Grovekeeper's Drape



Chest:

Atm I got Fungus Shroud Armor, but is the new Heirloom chest better?



Bracers:

Forest Stalker's Bracers



Gloves:

Maurauder's Handwraps



Belt:

Highlander's Leather Girdle



Legs:

Not got these yet, started Leatherworking for the Blackstorm Leggings as they seem to be the best to me, though the legs from ST seem quite good as well



Boots:

Highlander's Leather Boots



Ring 1:

Aquamarine Signet of the Monkey (also have the Eluding ring in my bank, dunno if that is any good)



Ring 2:

Blackstone Ring



Trinket 1:

High-powered Flashlight



Trinket 2:

Inherited Insignia of the Alliance



Main Hand:

Trash Blade



OH:

Sentinel's Blade (Not really sure here eiher, you have for example Balanced Heartseeker which seems to be quite good)



Ranged:

Not 100% sure here either. I already have the Precisely Calibrated Boomstick, but dunno if for example any of the two BoA ranged or the Thorium Flight Blade are better?



Oki. Then we move on to the enchants. This is what I have got mats for (not put on yet):



Enchant Cloak - Greater Agility

Enchant Chest - Exceptional Stats

Enchant Bracer - Assault

Enchant Gloves - Superior Agility

Enchant Boots - Surefooted

Enchant Weapon - Mongoose x 2



If I forgot something just tell me, and in advance thx for the help :D
 
This template. is the best rogue at 49 possible (except the BRD coffer stuff). The BoA chest doesn't scale correctly on the site yet but otherwise it's the best choice, at lvl 49 it gives you 16 hit instead of 5 (on the site), so 36 hit rating should be about 4.5% hit, and that is an OK amount.

1. Why Shadowblade OH? And how is Mongoose vs 20 agility?

2. Why 12 stamina on boots and not Surefooted?

3. Why Thorium Flight Blade intead o Boomstick?

4. Why those trinkets?

Shadowblade is a terrible OH, Sentinel's blade, your original choice, is best.



Surefooted is better then 12 stam to boots. Going over the 5% hit cap will increase your white swing damage, and help you with ret paladins, boomkins, etc.





Trinkets you will definitely want an AGM, very good trinket to have. Other trinket that should be obtained are Tidal Charm



JC is not worth a 5 min 90 AP trinket when you could get lifeblood.



Also if you felt JC trinket was amazing you can drop LW and get atal'ai legs of agility/monkey, or attack power.

because most of the people in this section pull armories and chardevs out of their cornhole without doing any kind of research whatsoever.



as pelmeni says, roll with what you've got and take his suggestions into account. I could be the fuhrer of nitpickery here and suggest you get [item]Darkwater Bracers[/item] of the monkey, but that's up to you.

I ran 3459hp, 713ap, 43 hit and 18% crit as hemo(0/0/40) back at 49, but it's up to you to find that sweet spot in stat balance and figure out what works for you.
 
ShadowPanther.net says Shadowblade is the best OH for 49.



Thorium Flight Blade because Throw is way faster than Shooting, which also takes pushback by damage.



Imp. Stealth and 90 AP will allow you to get openers more often. And opener > Lifeblood. 90 AP is there for the big burst. Don't also forget you got stone statues which heal you for 1200 HP, and that is way better than Lifeblood.

having played 49 on different chars over 3 years beats the crap out of taking most, if not all said to be facts from a website that rates bloodrazor above thrash blade. just to make an example.



also, you pick a ranged weapon for spell pushback? jesus christ.

and if he does play human, or intends to, the the stealth bonus from mentioned trinket doesn't matter if you have any clue how to 1: spam your sap macro with range modifer. 2: abuse distract
 
Nah shadowblade is still better, the guy at the website knows stuff better than you.



I take the Thrown weapon because Throw casting time doesn't take casting pushback; while when you aim your gun, it "aims" longer if someone strikes you with melee or ranged attack.
 
yes, because using your ranged weapon is a major part of the rogue class. you're not too bright, are you?



try to actually contribute for once, instead of taking everyithing you post from websites others have put together.

or for that matter, stop taking irrelevant things into account when trying to make a point.
 
Yeah, because letting someone bandage is not so important when playing a rogue. Look: you are facing a warrior. You got him down to 10%. Then a rogue Cheap shots you BAM; the warrior runs a few yards away from you and starts to bandage. You start to shoot, but rogue's attacks make the aiming so long the warrior got already a few ticks off.
