Wrath changes to Secondary Stats Opens Up Gear Options

This goes out to all the 69s preparing for Wotlk. Recently remembered that in wrath, there is no longer a difference between spell crit/haste and melee crit/haste. This means some pieces that were only beneficial to one type are beneficial to all in Wrarh. Here is an example

This was for a while one of the best best melee trinket available, it becomes a seriously viable option for most classes in pairing with GLG in Wrath

Just thought I’d mention this incase like you have have forgotten, or just didn’t realize how much 69 bracket will take off, and you can begin getting Naxx gear before it is taken out.

Happy hunting

The bracket will take off? It will be non existant as 59 was in TBC (besides one week at the start). Greens and quest rewards from Northend are too damn strong, so the old twinks will be useless anyways. Getting shit on that hard as a leveler will be extremely off-putting. And I can't blame them. I had a 69 Ret in Wotlk, people got literally oneshotted by Divine Storm.

Um my understanding is that exp on and exp off is separated in wotlk with the introduction of the experience eliminator npcs (originally added in patch 3.2.0.10192). So BG twinking won't be possible.

Although I guess the old retail exploit(s) might work since they are using a version of the shadowlands client.

So BG twinking won't be possible.
Depends on the community size. WOTLK twinking is roundly considered to be the best era of low level twinking (39s wrath was the apex as far as Im concerned) and many people feel similarly about 19s and 29s from that era.

So if people create and maintain twinks, there will be enough players to get xp-off pops. I'd maintain that building that interest should begin as early as possible. So if you're trying to gin up support for the 69s (nice) bracket, then now's the time.

Yeah, 19, 39 and 79 should be active. 39 pops on Warmane afaik, but there you dont have two brackets (xp off and on)

xpoff segregation happened the same time they introduced said option, patch 3.2

as to how classic will handle this, i have no fucking clue

Did they repeat all of the same balance updates / hotfixes that happened in TBC exactly as they happened? I haven't touched Classic yet, but will be playing a lot of it when Wrath releases.

It seems sort of... shortsighted to completely ignore any possible tuning of major balance issues. I.E., do DKs need to be released in 3.0 form for Wrath Classic? It was the classic experience... but it was also pretty clearly an oversight by any definition of the word...

In both vanilla and TBC classic, they built the game on the final patch of the xpac, regardless of the content releases.

So, for example, TBC was built on and released as 2.3.5 even though, content wise, I don't even think SSC was open yet.

We can make an educated guess that WOTLK classic will also release at 3.3.5 but that Naxx2 Electric Boogaloo will be the only open raid. As such, DKs will likely be balanced as they were at the end of Wrath (RIP disease-less Blood DPS)

Oh god that's the best piece of news I've had in a while. A lot of people I've talked to about coming back have been reluctant because of their memories of 3.0 DK.

That also buys us some time until ICC comes out and warmane's solved meta conquers everything.

Best of both worlds.

psure the meta's been solved throughout the expansions but yea
