WoW = COD4

oh well

remember when people flipped shit when healing power got merged into spell power? and how nothing really changed? yeah, this is like that. calm down.

nothing changed? we lost 50 spell power or so. lol

edit, i have a solution. they could just remove all stats completely and make every item scale to the level you are, like a boa, that way everyone will be completely balanced, and everyone could just work for gear to modify they're characters looks, or better yet, just make every class the same.

i just honestly feel that what it really boils down to his being able to make wow playable by even the most noobish people in order for them to make more money. which is what i know what this is about and i am fine with that, but dumbing down the game and taking the customization out of the game is just wrong. i mean comon, they are removing, armor pen, ap, mp5, SPELL POWER? ect ect. that means u gear for 2-3 stats on your guy, everyones character's will be exactly the same, no more being different or thinking outside of the box, isnt this the true reason most of us twinked? for creativity?

I don't know of anyone who twinked for that reason.

when did we lose 50 SP? (other than loss of leg armour)

A highish amount of SP nowadays, say 120 SP = 225 healing premerge. this is higher than the top end amount of healing power you could get premerge. This was due to getting more benefit from the spell power on items that were just spell power instead of healing eg WSG cloak and glodflecked gloves. Also dps casters gained more spell dmg due to chants like healing power to gloves giving more spell dmg than premerge. At merge all casters benefitted spell power wise.

Edit: im not entirely sure whether reforging will make classes all cookie cutter, with it you will be able to choose whether to get an int build for your drood or a spirit build. Also things like different rogue types will become more distinct i reckon, since for instance a stam rogue will be able to switch the agi on a TB to stam thus widening the gap more.

I'm not playing this game to find out what gear to use on my character. I don't play this game to read up on all AEP values, realizing perhaps that the best chest piece for my death knight is leather or mail. I hate having to get new gems, get new enchants and such just because I got an item with different stats that changes my whole character. I play to raid, to PvP and to make a ton of cash through the Auction House. Removing all this makes it alot easier to gear up your character.

Nothing is changing, in all honesty.

Everything we have statwise will still be there, just represented differently.

If anything, it is a lot more good than bad. Take the [ITEM]Inferno Robe[/ITEM] for example. It gives 19 spellpower. Since there is no more spellpower on items, it will give intellect. Yet, with the intellect changes, we will STILL get the same benefit to our spell damage and healing. Its pretty simple, just gotta think more into it.

this. i don't know why everyone's freaking out.

there was never really a time when you could customize your character.

at 60/70/80 everyone spec'd, enchanted, gemmed, geared the same way for pvp and pve

at x9 brackets everyone specs, enchants, gems, gears the same way(oh my he uses 3/3 owl bracers instead of 3/3 eagles holy shit so unique)

why? because thats what works, its been the same since level 60. anything thats "original" is usually subpar and why have a character that could be better? theres hardly anything thats unique and is actually better than cookiecutter specs/builds

they removed all the customization out of wow, its now just gameplay and nothing else, just like a fps

I don't understand how you can say that all customization is being removed from wow. For 1. When did having SP, AP, etc, on gear allow us to customize anything?

and 2. did you completely overlook reforging?

Reforging

* Reforging is another way to customize your gear.

* It will be relatively cheap, you will need a Blacksmith / Leatherworker / Tailor / Jewelcrafter / Engineer to do it. Each profession get to reforge a type of items.

* It lets you reduce one stat for another. Some restrictions will apply, you can't put the extra stat on something that is already on the item.

i don't know for sure if this can be used at lower levels, but still, if anything, customization is being added to the game, not taken away.
