US WoW Classic- who is in?

Anyone going to be playing WoW Classic? I haven't played an MMO in a while, should be fun to check out. I know there won't be BG's for a bit, but hopefully once they go live there is an active 39 bracket. It might be fun to join the same server/guild with other oldschool 39 people.

^ are a few of the old school 39s kicking around. I know there are more, but can't remember TI handles off the top of my head.

I will be playing classic, I know a few of those guys will also. Hope to see u around

I'll be around but I'm not really planning on twinking it. More just gonna slow roll a warrior through the content. But I certainly wouldn't be opposed to rolling on the same server everyone will be on if that's a thing
 
I wasn't gonna touch it, because I didn't want anything to do with that grind. Then I saw this video by way of an ArsTechnica comment thread:


I'm not familiar with many streamers and I only know Venruki as some sort of big-time arena player (showing my true soccer dad colors here), but his commentary was spot on for a lot of my earliest WoW memories in TBC. Old WoW had a much better community than the toxbomb of today's game, so Classic WoW intrigues me.

I sent the video to @youbeezy , and got him thinking on it.
 
Pinworms!! How in the hell have you been buddy? Classic was a hard no until Rise sent me that video. The dude makes a ton of great points I overlooked. Still not sure if I'll play, but will def be down to jump in discord or whatever the hell voice program people are using when it comes out.

Source: me. I'll fund them all 39s after a month or two

I wouldn't expect the community to be the same kind as it was in 2004 tbh.

That's fair, but I now have much higher hopes. No WSG timer? Being able to queue into the same specific battleground as a friend? No XP in battlegrounds, period, just marks of honor? Dare I say it...XP planning because there's no way to turn XP off? Building twinks is going to be a much bigger pain in the ass even for funded characters, and in my experience, higher difficulty and no conflicts of interest yield more respectful communities.

However, remember all it takes is one toxic idiot to incite the hatred to blow everything up and undo the works of many.
And I am rather afraid that the number of toxic idiots have ... multiplied in the meanwhile.
 
So incredibly hyped for classic and it’s great seeing familiar names! Definitely going to be rolling 39s before bgs hit. Once server lists are released it would be great to coordinate servers to get the community all together.

As Sanit said before, I'll be playing.. depending on what / how realms are set up.. I'll probably roll on an Oceanic realm.. times are tough for an Aussie as it is.

Definitely keen to do something though
 
Rolled Alliance first go round in Vanilla.
This time time I plan on rolling a Horde. Haven’t quite decided if it will be a priest or shaman.
Plenty of time to decide.

That’s exactly why it is so very very important to keep discipline in a guild. It’s something people don’t/can’t understand in today’s game. One or two bad apples really can ruin an entire guild’s reputation on a server. A reputation that took many people a long time to cultivate.
Friendliness has to be maintained. Both within and outside the guild(s). I really think that will be a cultural shock to a LOT of people.

Yeah well, unfortunately theres Battleground queues for endless WSGs to be toxic in. :^]

Hey, I plan on just doing 39 twinking on Oceanic Realm...Wanna Join? I've got my Girlfriend and another close buddy of mine doing the same...we are going to make a guild dedicated to 39 twinking!

Hey mate,

Sounds great - I'll probably focus on end game firstly, then after I've settled in, straight into 39s!
