Wouldn't it be nice if blizzard actually fixed this?

It appears as if casters chance to hit vs 63 mobs - as level 50 - is 0%. So every hit % you get, is equal to the actual chance you have of hitting. My 45% hit shaman had 56% miss, and a 5% hit warlock had 95% miss.

It's almost impossible to pull any viable dps out of a caster due to hit rating not being stackable to a high enough extend.

Imagine... Caster DPS actually being viable and Melee would only need 7.5% hit rating...

*drools*

and yeah, that actually makes perfect sense. So in order to actually stop missing, you'd need 100% hit chance and anything over that is over the cap.

Your post did make sense, wtb blue post

It would be nice if they fixed this, however it seems to me that there is absolutly 0% chance for this to ever happen... They would have to fuck around with one of the core parts of the game that hasn't changed considerably since launch. And i know they really don't want to do that. Especially taking into account that its just a few weirdo's (including me) doing this in the first place.

There is however another (albeit more controversial) solution: Upping the lvl cap for caster dps: to 54-55 or so, in the hope that this will make them somewhat viable. Testing/discussion should point out the right cap. This will make for more fun (thats what we do this for right?) for new people into this idea becuase they can roll a class others couldn't and figure out new bis lists.
Some variants
55/54 with lvl 50 gear: Fair to other lvl 50's, having to check ppl's gear if they don't cheat better gear in sucks big time
54 with 54 gear: No engineering boost for non gnome's,
55 with 55 gear: Possibly overpowered, engineering boost for non gnome's seems fair tho, other proffesions getting a boost might be a good thing aswell?
This would only count for locks/mages, as far as ive heard spriests are viable, shamans are hardly viable? shamans might need an exeption at 53 or so?

sorry for opening up the can on this beast... don't shoot me :)
