WOTLK Hunter preparations

With WOTLK classic slowly getting closer and closer I've started preparing my twinks for it in terms of pre-gearing and gathering gf'ed/bis items.

The impact on gear will be the biggest for hunters considering the talent which lets them receive AP from intellect from now on.

I remember all the hunters running around with tree bark jacket and a twisted channeler staff with +22 int on it back in the day, but that's more or less where my memories end.

I'm thinking of going for an 'of the falcon' set for the combination of AP from both agi (aswell as crit) and the AP and sustain from intellect. I punched together this set.

I was unsure wether the +40 stam +12 agi leg enchant aswell as the 'nat pagle boots' with +boars/cats speed still work in wotlk?

If people have advice or see way to improve the set I made up, I'd really appreciate some feedback.

You can get a +3 scope attached on your bow via trade window (req lvl 20).
Also, Librams on head/legs won't give any stats in Wrath I'm pretty sure.

That's correct, Nat Pagle's Extreme Anglin' Boots as well as the head, shoulder and leg enchants are all gone for 19s come WOTLK.

Leggings of the Fang will be BiS again, Footpads of the Fang grant the most overall stats for boots, you also have the option of running Mindthrust Bracers depending how glass you want to go.

Also don't forget there will be heirlooms that are BiS for the shoulder, chest, staff and bow slots.



Depending on whether they release dungeon finder or not which they've discussed not doing, then either the satchel gear "of the Bandit" suffix will be BiS or Glowing Lizardscale Cloak and Screecher Belt.

Hit cap is also a thing in WOTLK so you will need certain pieces to reach that cap which is why most hunters ran with the Grand Staff of Jordan heirloom combined with some other pieces to hit cap.
