Okay guys, i'm expecting this post to be fairly long... but it's worth reading, so here it is.
Last night, the worst thing ever happened to me in WoW... I so happened to be playing on the new grandfathered 19 paladin that I just bought, paid for the new account that it had to be transfered on, and a transfer - $185 total. I was so excited about playing it. I went to curse.com to get some new addons because i'm on my laptop and I don't have any on here. One of the addons I picked up was Bartender... and when you use bartender, you actually have to enable the experience bar in the options for it to show. Well, apparently there's a glitch in blizzards system, because since when does your XP turn on without you turning it back on? Never. When I transfered the paladin to the new account, the system recognized the account as a trial account somehow... How is this possible? I have no idea... I noticed that it thought I was a trial account when I tried to message revolution on bleeding hollow to send me a guild invite. When I sent the message, it said trial accounts cannot pm other players or some bullshit. So i told revo to send me a message so we could speak through pm. I had special characters in my name, so he had to shift click my name to invite me to the guild. Surprisingly, revo was able to invite me to the guild. Since when are trial accounts able to be in a guild? They can't. Straight from the blizzard website... -
As you can see, I answered all the above requirements. I either had the most godly trial account ever, or blizzard is officially dumb as fuck. Tell me which one it was. Okay, back to the story. I got invited to the guild, accepted it, and was able to talk in guild chat like a normal person. At this point, I obviously just assumed that the whole pming revo thing was just a small glitch, so I re logged and tried again... nothing. What I also noticed was, on the character screen, there wasn't any "UPGRADE NOW TO JOIN THE BATTLE TO 70" or some shit like that.. idfk, blizzard has some dumb roll playing shit on their adds... god damn roll players. Anyways, I fixed up all my addons, got that healbot goin, had all my gear sets ready, buffs, everything! I was so excited. Instead of inviting sloppy and revo, I decided to solo que so I could get some practice with healbot (never used). 4-5 minutes later, I get a WSG pop. AWESOME! I take the que, and sit in the lobby as always, waiting for the game to start. I notice a lot of BoA's and high HP twinks... and of course, theres always a few scrubs, but I didn't think anything of it. So the game starts, I instantly go for the flag in my new max stam set like a baus. grab it, and actually take on like 5+ people (3 of them being hunters) alone. Unfortunately, I didn't get the cap. Oh well, time to try again. this time, I have a hunter running with me. Never seen him, but he had like 1600 hp. I assumed he was geared enough obviously, so I slapped on my healing set and let him carry. long story short on this one, we got all the way threw mid, battling to keep him alive. We finally get to the ramp of tunnel, and they drop the efc in our flag room... Nice, we actually have a decent team... I think were going to win this one! The hunter takes the boots and goes in for the cap. As i'm watching him go for the cap, i'm obviously thinking we've got this. He steps on the cap... Ding - level 20.................................................................................................................................................................................................... wtf...? On the phone with blizzard right now. Apparently, when you transfer to a different server they save a copy of your character before it transfers you. I know the story ended awkwardly, but for those who were in vent last night, you know how shitty I feel after this bullshit. Wish me luck on getting this character restored.
