Who the hell cares? I was told to come here because my name was brought up, but seriously - why is this important?
Drayner, you were in <CM> for a time. You and Purj didn't get along, and that's just the way things are. I don't make it my business to give a flying frack about who likes Drayner or who likes Purj. Ya'll were civil to each other under the same tag, then things went south between you for whatever reason after you left our guild (and several others). It didn't matter to me then and still doesn't. But don't please post as if you have no idea who the hell we are.
As for <CM>, we were an active twink guild for about 3 years, with most of our members going back a few guilds before <CM> together. Lawlpurge, you can hate now but you used to want to join us. Some random guy who is "ashamed" we're on his server, get over yourself - I highly doubt the odd 2 or 3 people we have on at any time really affect you in any way. We're simply not that important.
To make something clear here - someone above made it sound as if a full twink guild camped Drayner in the GY. No. That was a pug that had one of our members in it. So Drayner got camped by a pug, which ought to be the least important thing that happened in his life this year. Seriously, I've got a rash on my ankle that's more significant than this garbage.
As for what <CM> was about? We had a good standard of not camping lowbies, not going into GYs to farm, not dragging out games. After years of playing together, most of us quit when Cyclone died. We stayed in touch with each other because at our core, CM members are friends. We had too many good times and inside jokes to just stop talking altogether. There were no huge dramatic "I quit" posts, no carrying on as if anyone else cared. We're not all self-important like that, and none of us knew if we'd want to return or not.
Recently, some of us came back casually. We don't field 10-mans, we don't arrange games, and we don't go to the forums to see who's crying or who's bragging every day. We're here to have a little fun together, play a few games. Skyte's about to get her Alliance title, I got mine, and nobody gives a flying fuck either way.
Enter the Ruin twink-only bgs: no holds barred. Exploity jumps that used to be frowned on are now everyday business as usual. Games are better now any way, and when its twinks v twinks all the time, there really are no excuses. And nah, camping the GY isn't a great M.O., but I hardly think a 1-time grudge camping counts as an "M.O.". It is what it is - a few minutes of one guy killing another guy because they don't get on well.
Now the fact is, Purgelawl doesn't seem to like you much Drayner. But the GY camping thing was little more than a few minutes of idle amusement. Ya'll make it sound like Fraps is hard or something, but there's no conspiracy here. Apparently he got a few laughs at your expense, but why get all worked up about it? Seriously, its just not worth the energy. Its not as if that video was posted on battlegroup forums to brag or bring attention. You brought it up here - nobody else. I'm sure some other twinks have gotten a laugh or two off of me, and that's really not a problem. Why make a big deal of it?
Frankly, as GM of the "new" <CM> in Ruin, I'll tell you straight up: aside from outright cheating, I really don't care what anyone says about us. I play a couple of nights a week at best and I'm not spending that precious time hounding my friends about what they do. Love 'em or hate 'em, I know they're good guys who've had my back for years now. Purgelawl is a damn good player and a damn good friend. Hate on, haters. And ya'll keep on playing WoW like it's serious business. We aren't going to join you in that. For us its just fun and games these days, and we like it that way.
Peace and lulz in the New Year.
