Very possible, all we'd need to do is have our 10man with eachother on Real ID, and queue against another 10 - NOICE

sounds awesome:O

Edit: nvm i get it...dont call me stupid plx xD

You can now form same-faction raids with Real ID friends, allowing you to enter Raid Finder in groups larger than 5, run older normal or heroic raids, or participate in Battlegrounds. You will not yet be able to run normal or heroic Dragon Soul with cross-realm raids of Real ID friends.

What 29,39, and 49's do I don't think qualifies as "living". If they don't count as dead then I don't know what does.

As to the OP. I do think it could help. However, it could cause long term problems of excluding new players who are not aware of the community.

Twinking hasnt died, but not all the brackets are active. I still have my 39 twink paladin, which mean the 39 bracket isnt dead.

I dunno how three nights a week for several months is considered dead, but if you define living as games at your beck and call, then yeah, I guess so.

Several of those brackets do far less than that. At least US side 29's is more like 1 evening a month. At most I would say they do 3 hours 3 nights a week even in the best brackets. That would make the bracket 5.4% alive. Hardly anything to write home about.

True on all counts, with regards to quantity. 29s get games right now only when they rally themselves, which averages out to an evening a month at best. 39s are on the upturn, looking to solidify their two-evenings-a-week schedule. 49s see games for 3 hours a night, 3 nights a week, and 4-5 hours on strong nights including EotS and AB once a month.

But at what threshold of quantity do we consider a bracket "alive"? Players clearly drive midbrackets even as sparsely as they play. As long as games dependably happen, I'd say that makes for a live bracket. 10s and 29s, they're dead right now. They get games every now and then, but not yet consistently. 39s are heading into their fourth week of games, which takes as much commitment as any newly formed raiding group. In a couple of weeks, 49s will have a solid year under their belt with only a couple of interruptions.

So yes, 29s and 39s brackets do get "far less" than 3 hours on 3 nights a week, and 49s get at least that and sometimes better. If you judge aliveness by knowing games will happen just about any time you want to play, then yes, the mids are dead. But if you judge aliveness by knowing that you can get into games if you make time for them, then you may find a hidden gem in the 39 and 49 brackets.

what's an "alive" bracket in my book:

1, average queue time < 10 min through out the day.

2, this is pretty much equivalent to 1 from my experience: you don't play with/against the same group of people over and over. what's so fun when every thing becomes so predictable?

Thats ridiculousness.

Twinking is about pvp. If pvp is not happening then the bracket is dead.

29s, 39s, and 49s, have both wargames, arena, and scheduled games fyi.

And for the record, twinking is not limited to PvP.

While some players are predictable, team comps and outcomes gave me anything but predictable games over the last few years that I twinked in the midbrackets.

But yeah, if you want queue times under ten minutes, that pretty much cordons off most of XP-off BGs.
