And we come full circle in this thread. This is the exact same spew of bile he gave me when I talked to him about premading back in Wrath. That we would "have friendly premades every week" as a means to inspire activity in the bracket. Why is any of this surprising? Pizza has always been a source of selfishness and narcissism. Good to see him and his crew is moving on. Instead of having to cut out the cancer manually, it's actually leaving the body of its own freewill. Now if only cancer would do that in real life...

The victory last night is not about TC winning. It's about selfish people finally leaving the bracket so that 19s can perhaps grow into a healthy, community-centered bracket again.

edit: not as annoying as being 0-1 lifetime for a guild that was previously undefeated i'd imagine.

I actually said it best, a month ago, while having a discussion with Idiote. I told him that Slyddur was in the hot seat, and that the pressure was on him to make a premade happen. He had gotten people to return from retirement, had put lots of hard work in to creating a guild on alliance, and had a mission to beat WT. I said to Idiote, if the premade doesn't happen, then it sounds like NA does not even have a reason for existing. Unfortunately, Slyddur could only control things on his end, so I knew it would get ugly if a premade did not happen. Here we are now, back to square one.

All I'm saying is, I can sympathize with how deflated you must feel after your third straight guild made with the intention of beating WT has lost its very purpose to exist, and furthermore, that the glory was stolen by another guild RIGHT before you got your chance. Now that this era of WT has come and gone, perhaps some of their [Alliance->Horde] re-rolls will ditch the "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em" attitude and make names for themselves once again.

WT lost 0-1 to TC and lost by default via last minute dodge to NA. Good enough for me.

Did we feel that we had the strongest guild going into these premades? Yes.
Did we meet our expectations with beating WT? No.
Are we happy that at least someone beat WT as consolation for them dodging us? Yes, very.

lol sly, I dislike wt just as much as the next guy- but the outcome of this game is obvious. WT is rusty af and you guys have been practicing together for ages. The only way the game would be interesting would be if it was WTs former a-team when they did rule the premade scene. You are basically just turning them into more of a punching bag than they already are. Im still in shock people were surprised tc could beat them- its like being surprised the moon comes out at night, it was inevitable.

Except pizza himself said even after NA formed that he thought his guild was at it's strongest, sets a premade with us so we practice for the premade ect. His guildies spend the proceeding weeks talking themselves up herp derp and then call the game an hour before the game? The point of NA was to show that this new WT is no where near what WT was and to stop all of the new players heads from inflating before they exploded by riding on the cotails of others. I think we succeeded with that.
