It's not actually a common term in the UK.

What is the origin of "WoW Twink"?

We were called twinks, even before Xp Off But i guess most of the new twinks doesnt even know the feeling of beeing scared of getting discovering XP and level up. Or Flying to bootybay for the Fishing event, and praying to god, that you dont get a disconect while on the Bird and discover the Stranglethorn inland , okay i am stray away from the question , i really dont know why we are called Twinks

I might be gay, cuz I never touched a human female titties in RL and I never been with a girl or a boy, Im still a virgin. Maybe Im not gay cuz I touch my pee-pee when I watch girls in the internet, but I dont want to be called twink! F2Ps (Starter Edition) are not twinks! We are just playing the end-game , which is 20 lvl if you dont subscribe. Twinks are the guys who stop their XP on purpose to gang poor levelers in different brackets and they are paying for it.

I thought the original game manual referenced the concept of twinking back with vanilla wow? Its been ages since ive seen it so can't remember. Besides that It was coined in other predecessor mmo's before wow hit the scene as many of the early players migrated to wow from games like everquest. Might have been in diablo 2 as well, I remember there being duels with lower level souped up chars too.

Many words take on dual meanings especially with slang. Languages are cool and weird.
