Why the hate?

I have recently joined the F2P community and i have been here for maybe a week and a half or less, and the attitude of some people is quite weird because i thought F2P's looked pretty chilled and fun and a great community! I did come from 24 bracket and i know most F2P's hate 24's from what i've heard and witnessed. I've been called a 'Top GY Camper', Scummy 24' and beyond... I don't understand? Now i dont want some big hate speech or something in the comments because this isn't really what the post was for. I don't see why people cant let people trying out a new bracket let them then enjoy it and not go ape on them now and then.
 
Are you getting this feedback here on the boards, or in game? Maybe you're hearing it from people who aren't on TI? Anyway, how do people know that your F2P character is the same person as the 24 they know? Hope this is helpful, I wouldn't want a few bad encounters to spoil you off the bracket.
 
If anyone's harassing you on the forums just report them. Don't let people tell you how to play. ESPECIALLY the people on these forums. Ignore them.
 
No i am not a GY camper, And i would obviously understand hate towards GY campers... but i dont GY camp thats what i dont get.

Don't buy into his bullshit, a lot of the people here just want attention. Just report him and ignore his posts. It's a "community" you shouldn't have to defend yourself.
 
From what I remember you come from EU. Just dont tell anyone you played 24s and dont GY farm and you shouldnt get any hate
 
Thats not the point... I want to try out new brackets because i guess it would be fun.. but like i said ' i dont understand the hate'....
 
Some people are just angry, sometimes with justification, more often without. :) There are a lot of amazingly friendly people on both EU and US, so don't take unfriendly or rude people too seriously and enjoy your foray into the bracket. :)
 
Actually no one here is guilty of what i'm about to say as back then f2ps weren't nearly as prominent as now,

I used to twink 24 bm hunters when we were op.

Why? To counter troll the 20s and 24 bads on ally side who really pissed me off and didn't know how to play as a team. When the allies mouthed off shit at me, left me behind to die as a healer, etc. etc. I had enough, went on my 2400hp troll hunter to troll them back. it was beautiful to see their frustration because they deserved it.

But I stopped paying for wow and started to really get more serious with my f2p account.

On these forums the main reason people are upset is because it's not a fair fight.

that's it.

There's no joy, no close calls, no challenge really. It's nothing REALLY personal but it's kind of like.. what's the point?

Even if you are god's gift to pvp it's so overwhelmingly in your favor no one can beat you if you're geared.

I don't hate on 24s like others do but it's beyond the point to defend their. They just are on god mode and I remember as my 24 hunter I used to sit back and even cheer a level 20 who killed a horde i disliked.

Yes I just sat there.

It's because I know I can kill them outright.

There are assholes everywhere. You'll quickly learn what players add value in the field and others which treat their keyboard like it's an emotional steam valve. Avoid the assholes and try to be the best teammate you can, regardless of your abilities, skills and gear.

Wanted to try out the 20-24 bracket?

Why did you not try it as a 20, which is what most of the opposition is?

hate comes from peolpe like Franciska, you know the type that plays the most OP class/spec they can and's butt hurt they're still shite.

try this. make a 20, play like a total selfish arse, stand at the gy farm for 20mins. then make a 24, play the objective heal/help your team see which one gets the flame. i've done this and i'll tell you, no one will even notice you being a dick on your 20. they're to busy moaning about 24s.

play what you want, everyone else does.

Off T: I feel as though you're purposely asking for negative attention by calling out and insulting another member of this community purposely in order to get a negative response and derail this thread. Was that necessary?

On T: People will and should play what they want, doesn't matter if it's a class/spec that's OP or UP. If it makes them happy and they enjoy playing it, then no one here should be able to object to that.
