Why no Ret Paladins?!

but nor Mage, nor Balance Druids, nor Elemental Shamans and I still see lots more of those three classes

if you already have a paly you will likely spec holy

I will try ret on my paly for sure, but don't know who will heal then lol

ret paladins are not "balanced" no. they're slightly inferior to warriors in terms of damage, but they have hammer of "so i hear u liek dyieieieieing lololol", and they have somthing that makes them GOLDEN in this bracket, which is a controlled high damage attack. ret paladins are via. templars and 3 stacks of holy power, able to determine themselves, when they want to pimp slap things about the head. the closest any other class gets to this amount of damage either has long casts (aimed shot, balance druids, to a certain extend spell power stacking fire mages.). they are not "bad" unless you're unable to cross mid. if you are able to abuse LoS, its 4evarh pwnage.

INB4 "lolol chill you suck lolol"

I wanted to try crit 1.5k and I managed too. I was hella buffed though and it was on a training dummy in Thera. I know this is not the record as you could attack with multiple Sader buffs up, or try to get even more buffed but yeah this is what Pallies can do. I like to play ret, I think its awesome, but ally often lack healers and Im forced to heal. Also I play on a laptop alot, and I find healing easier then ret while playing with no mouse.

Usually when I go ret I get in a game and I wish I would have been holy. I like playing ret paladin but I also enjoy winning. I find playing as holy helps my team out more. Holy can also put out more damage from range than a ret paladin can, with holy shock judgment, and a huge mana pool you are free to use exo whenever you want.

Ret is fine, if you think otherwise then stop getting caught alone in Mid.

TV and HoJ outweight any "downsides" you might think Rets have.

Yes balanced. I barely see any of those as Ret.

They have a strong heal, hit like trucks, are hard to kill, have a 6 sec stun and can exo spam. They do have a rather poor mobility, but I can definitely think of more balanced classes and ways of making rets more balanced.

If we compare a ret to a hunter, the ret actually has higher damage output, if allowed 100% time on target.

But then again - you won't nuke down a player you can't catch up with :p

And go oom after 2 exo's... And how could you exo spam a running player?

If he's running, leave him. Keep judgement of the wise buff up all the time and you wont go oom that easily.

Mehcritkillu said:
Why on earth would you let him run? Just let EFC walk straight past you? And no - you will still go oom by exo spamming, even if you got JotW up.

I didn't know you were talking about speficially the enemy flag carrier. Spamming exorcisms on a flag carrier only lets him get away. Oh, and if I had no support with me, I would prefer leaving the efc be rather than trying to attack him only to die from his D team. If I had support with me, I could probably survive a slow or too while the other players in my team are attacking efc. Also, could HoJ him.

I wasn't just talking about EFC, I were talking in more general terms.

If it wouldn't be the EFC, then I would not bother chasing him if he was running away.

Then I wish more allys were like you then. Seems pretty rare.

you're kidding, right? the few ret paladins we have seem to be absolutely goal-oriented and not at all reduced to relentlessly chasing hunters about the midfield all day..

Yeah actually, you must've haven't been that active recently or something.

Most games this week, following ABs almost revival of Hordes morale, have been quite competitive and challenging for both sides.
