Why is 30 not more popular? It's superior to any other twink bracket in terms of scalable content

Gearing for 30 is so much more satisfying than 20 or anything else at the moment imo. Not sure why more people aren't doing this. Takes no time at all to reach 30 and you have access to (scaled) classic, TBC, and Wrath raiding content, on top of legendaries as well as more content from other xpacs. There's less need for crazy RNG farming like socket/tertiary procs for BiS due to all the good gem gear from raids. Once most items you need drop, you don't need to farm it again for a chance it will be 5% better. It's an absolute shame f2p cap being 20 is what prevents this bracket from being more popular. Literally 50 cents a day is what keeps this from happening.

But my counter, twinking was never originally a f2p thing. And people still pay money for a few months at least to gear their 20s before un-subbing.

I guess my reasoning is that people who continue to pay for the game and play 10s/20s/29s have no reason to not try 30

30 for classic through wrath, 35 for mop and cata, 40 for wod, and so on.. Raids don't scale like dungeons do. But the gear drops from available raids at 30 are all relatively close in ilvl, and about 10-26 ilvls higher than dungeon drops.

That's why it's called 30s. It is - of course - the superior bracket. So why is it not popular?

Okay this is really hard to describe without expletives. It is popular. Lots of people come in, get their BiS according to an excel sheet and... leave, raidlogging at best. Because their power plateau'd and everything else left to do are long- to mid-term grinds and that require dedication and a whiff of psychosis.

Also TWW is a pretty thumbs up expansion with lots of worthwhile content so I can't fault anyone for not exclusively playing 30s. But I'm still bitter. Just a tiny bit.

Pretty sure back in the day of vanilla twinking exist simply because it is easier to twink out bis at lvl19 rather than at 60, it was not f2p because it wasn’t an option

LOL that went so over my head hahahaha, I was like yea! “The twink bracket for raids” 20’s are the twink bracket for PvP, and 10’s is similar to gambling so idk or trophy toons in a way.
