I'm sure everyone has opinions as to why lvl 19's bgs went in the toilet. I for one feel "blizziod" is directly responsible for what happened to the 19 lvl battlegrounds play. Things like; Lazy, poorly-geared, levelers, premade group mania, and poor management of character talents and power were all contributing factors for the decline. Add to it, bg concessions made to the level 20, "freeloader play" group and disaster struck.

blizzard hit 19's hard years ago, when they made it so players could not be who'd below 20. the reason they gave was so that low level players would not get bothered with guild invites. so new players got their way after complaining, but they kicked their own ass at the same time when it came to acquiring BOAs. if they had joined a guild when invited at level 1, coming out of a starter zone they would already earned the rep to start buying BOAs.
