If you play a druid:
  • Why did you make one?
  • What do you like about them?
  • What could blizzard change to make you stop playing your druid?

If you don't play a druid:
  • Why don't you make one?
  • What don't you like about them?
  • What could blizzard change about druids to make you want to play one?

I made this character back in BC to play as a Resto Druid FC for a Guild known as NO MERCY on Argent Dawn(US).
Druids have every utility needed to out play any class 1vs1.
Nothing. With nerfs comes buffs. If they remove something, they'll have to add something. I will adapt.

I said druids can outplay any class 1vs1. I didn't say they could beat every class 1vs1.

Half of the time played on p2p account I spend playing druid. And still had not enough of it. So I made f2p druid.
What do you like about them?
Almost everything. But main is his mobility. Also I like big numbers when Ferocious Bite crit .

For past 8 years Blizzard didn't do anything that would make me abandon this class. Remove all druid forms and all healing spells? Leave just balance spec, so he will be some kind of a nature mage. But I don't think that will happen, because then it won't be a druid as we know him. And still that class maybe ok. So I really don't know.

Although it was really tempting to reply with "cuz Druidz ROCK" I'ma go ahes and answer the questions.

Why did you make one? I held off a bit in f2p because I wasn't sure if druid fc could be viable and it's my favorite class, but after hearing some good things coming from Shifty and seeing a few druids in games I decided to go for it. What do you like about them? Mobility. You can't stop a resto druid, not only can they run but they can heal and run. (and turn into kitties- beside the point I know but it's awesome) The play-style totally syncs with me, run and heal and move is a flow I really enjoy getting into.
What could blizzard change to make you stop playing your druid? One of the things they could do is in the works,I heard they were messing with disentanglement and right now I can't find it in the talent preview setup at all (someone correct me if they have better info here). I'm definitely not going to like losing that ability. Maybe if it were balanced with better (but not godlike) survivability that would be okay, but I'd still spend a few weeks at least shifting without effect every time I get rooted : /

Been waiting for this thread :p
1 i made one because i love'd the trvl form, and cat form better then enh shamman
I have played him for the longest out of all my toons, and cant wait for mop( feral/bal ftw)
2 Mobility, Buffs to most/all specs in mop( bal gonna be new fotm hunter), baseline rootshifting in mop
3 No basline DE, no buffs in mop( to make up for loss of thorns), or no feral charge

& Kearbear
Disentanglement is basline, shifting clears all " movment imparing effects", which includes roots/snares, but not fears/stuns/sleeps

Why did you make one?
I chose to make one because of their mobility, adaptability, versatility, and a higher skill cap than most classes (plus I had a feral/resto in BC).

What do you like about them?
I like how the whole class is set up; I can change form depending upon what situation I am in. IE: Escape death via travel form. Take more dmg by way of bear. Stealth through enemy lines as a cat. And MY FAVORITE, come MoP, blow up people as a space chicken. I also admire how every spec is different from the others. All three roles can be played with a change of pace to keep druids fresh.

There are so many skills that druids have that if any one is lost, another skill or way of play can most likely fill the gap. So, I do not think any change could spoil my druid fun, except if they locked all forms except your main spec. That would really hurt.

PS: Or blizzard can remain complacent and I might stop playing my druid/wow due to Guild Wars 2!

-because they are the most exiting class to play, and they make the best FC's.
-everything. their mobility, ability to troll the hell out of rogues, turning into cute animals, just everything.
-probably nothing. they have been nerfed to hell and i still play them. i can't think of anything, maybe if we lost travel form?

But da 161% in trvl in mop, with the 15% speed talent
instacast/incombat mounts(( almost worth picking over feral charge, almost)

I made dubbs in WotLK trial just to try out every class to lvl 20 on separate accounts (since its only 10days)
but the account that i made dubbs is the only account i remembered when cata trial launched. So i just played my druid that was already lvl 20 with some grandfathered gear (brown shoulder piece that has no special stats but it has mog possiblities but i sold it because back then, mog didnt exist and it was taking up my space.... :( same thing happened with the druid quest staff... i sold it.... the best staff mog :(
anyway, since then, ive made alot of other classes.but nothing beats druids except for potentially warlocks. But driod still is my favorite lvl 20 class. I love that i can beat noob hunters easily without spending a CD (there is no real class CDs for druid lvl 20 lol but i meant CDs like AGM)
of they take out powershifting, they WILL ruin the class but i dont think they will do that so.. :D

I made a druid because I love feral druids to be honest. To pick your own battles, the heals, the thorns, the tanking, the DPS, and everything. I'd quit feral druids if they removed rake, or the ability to moonfire/heal out of forms.

They are removing most of ferals heals, but in bis feral , im getting 150+ rejuv ticks
600 dmg 5p rip on a resil's player ftw
Cant decide between mop feral/resto/bal, all gonna be op'd

Thank you, I did not know this.

Made a druid for my first toon, but at level 3 I wandered away from where I should have been and kept getting killed. Later I came back and got him to 20. I guess I was interested in Druids because I used to play D&D, but Druids are much different in that! When I became less of a noob, I often saw Druids tearing it up in BGs. I haven't gotten that good with my ferals though.

I like Nelf Druids partly because I hardly ever have to see myself moving like MJ when I'm in an animal form.

I'd stop playing Druid if Blizz would finally just turn every class other than hunters into Mana Worms. j/k, I rarely play my Druids, but I do like them.
