Why don't 60 or 70 raiding guilds allow DKs?

I'm just curious. Whenever I see a guild recruitment thing for a BC / Vanilla guild they always seem to have a "no dks" clause.

Besides a reply of "they sux" or "only noobs play them" or whatever hate against dks would be mentioned, I'm just curious on why this is so.

I guess its just IMO but I would think "who cares if they werent around in BC"

idk because all the raids were nerfed so much now, any guild can down everything.

Well back in the days of Vanilla and BC there weren't DKs. So assuming people wanted to keep the most realistic and Vanilla/TBC pure guild/guild runs they obviously can't have them running around. And plus there isn't even any PVE gear for DKs besides random weapons and plate so its honestly just pure laziness if someone wants to join a VANILLA or BC guild and play a DK.

mostly has to do with people who level DKs to fast have an easy twink at 60/70 has a tendency to level out of the bracket as soon as they've gotten some gear. at least thats my own personal experience. and they dont "care" as much about their chars as people who had to level theirs from level 1 and up. also for as mentioned above, they didnt exist in BC/Vanilla and they want to keep it as similiar as possible. and the random gear is the only gear for them, not to mention DKs can be quite silly in the bracket, at least they used to be a year ago. writing from phone is fun -.-

you cant say you want a realistic experience when you use lk gems, and eng tinkers and with all the nerfs, the raids are a joke.

the "legit" guilds that dont allow dks usually dont allow lk gems (or any bc+ gear), enchants, or lk/cata tinkers. i think some allow ally sham or horde palies just b/c the tier drops on both sides, even if they werent originally available

however i cant see why a casual 60 guild wouldnt allow them. i mean the leveling out thing does make a bit of sense, but dont let a few bad examples spoil it for anyone that would want to make a dedicated dk. people going 1-60 might be a bit more "dedicated" to their toon, but thats just a generality...im sure there are quite a few people that lvl 1-60 then get burnt out and decide to lvl out after getting all their t2.5 n other stuff, or once they make a legendary, etc

gear would suck a bit tho just relying on those non tier plate items, but there is gear out there so itd just take a bit of time/luck. in the mean time tho they'd be a bit OP in the starter gear cuz that was supposed to be almost as good if not better than bwl gear iirc (if say, in a guild thats in mc progression), so unless they downgraded gear they would have an advantage out of the gate..but still, for a casual guild it shouldnt matter too much considering all the player buffs and boss nerfs in vanilla content anyways

as far as pvp goes i think dks are a lot more toned down/not as op than when lk first launched, and even then i think they were causing the most headaches in the 59 bracket, but idk. also for pvp youd be using bc/starter gear in a lot, if not all, of your slots making it not that important to get vanilla gear in the first placel other than maybe one or two slots, or just the epeen of getting all the old gear for looks

My best guess would be because DKs didn't even exist until Wrath. I'd guess it's to keep things realistic + there is no dk t6.

only 70 or 60 guilds I have seen that deny DKs of guild invite are bad guilds. other then that ones whos mains are in top pve guilds on serv or multi glads have no problem inviting dks atleast from what I have seen.

I think people see dks as a cheap fast twink method since starting at almost lvl 60, and ye since dks wasn't around in vanilla / tbc I think people rather keep them out of the way ^^

But 60 and 70 raids were nerfed by like 20% when wrath came out. people who do this are idiots.
